Instead of looking for love, many go on bachelor shows for other reasons. (fame, excitement, travel, etc.) Sadly, producers lie, manipulate contestants, their dates, etc. all for ratings...It was revealed many weeks ago that Gerry & Theresa weren't together...They should not have let producers rush them into marriage so quickly... Once reality set in, they realized they were better off as friends...

@LaurieWiegler He's just always struck me as phony and has a somewhat slimy quality. Granted, he's a handsome guy, but everything about him felt off. I was also surprised that she was the one he wound up with in the show. I thought he had more sparks with some of the other women. At our age, it's definitely more difficult, but I believe possible. It seems all the men I see my age, look like Santa Claus. Grey hair etc. But then I look at my ex husband He looks way different than when I met him. Grey, Santa now himself. We fall in love when young and vibrant. If it ultimately doesn't work, I think it's just such a different level finding love at an older age. Frankly, it just sucks. Yet I remain hopeful. Edit. My point isn't coming out right. It certainly isn't about looks. But seeing my ex husband, I still see the man I fell in love with so the Santa look on him doesn't phase me or bother me. My Dad always saw the 16 year old girl he fell for in my Mom, even after 50 years, weight gain etc. I think it's supposed to last. When it doesn't, at an older age I think it's more compatability and interests.

People who don't normally watch it, watched this one because being older brought a lot of interest and curiosity and dare I say "hope" The women weren't catty. I had figured, @ Gerry's & Teresa's senior age, that they had better (been there, done that) intelligent sensible reasoning than the younger contestants age. However residing in "The MSSE", nothing has changed since I was a child growing up in "The 50's".
Therefore, this incident leaves me to curtail my interest & my time, watching "The Batchelor/Bachelorette" series, now, & in the future!

At their wedding, God showed me that their marriage would only last 3 months. He gave me a sign when Theresa threw her bouquet and it was grabbed by 3 women and broken apart into 3 pieces. That was a sign that it would only last 3 months. I saw a news story the other day that said that they are getting a divorce after 3 months of marriage. I knew this would happen!!

Maybe, but watch the interview, you'll notice how careful both of them are to say virtually nothing about why their "marriage" crumbled after a week to 1-2 months (forget that it lasted three months folks-it was EMOTIONALLY over way before they made the official announcement). They have carefully rehearsed and carefully crafted the reason that they love their families too much to move into a house together :). So, nothing of the true process of how this thing fell apart is revealed. All we know is that, for sure, they went through all the right motions, what with a massive ceremony, without knowing each other clearly AT ALL :).
