- We went to Five Guys to try out six items on their secret menu, including a double grilled cheese burger and burger bowl. We also asked for the chain’s Presidential burger. It gets its name from former president Barack Obama who would always order the custom dish when he visited the restaurant.

I work I fives guy and yes I agree five guys is kinda expensive but is not only fries and burgers like any other places that their food is frozen and you only have to cut a bad and cook it , at five guys we everything is fresh the fries we cut it in the morning everyday and washed like 5 times changing the water and the burgers we received the meat and we have to prepare it , we get the meat make it little balls smashed and weight it between 3.5 to 3.7 .....the point is I feel like five guys compare to other places , is cleaner and fresh at leas in the store I work
Good point Max and their food is very tasty. I guess what you could say is it isn't fast food but an actual restaurant. I worked in restaurants and those are the funnest to work at because it actually feels like you are cooking food instead of just heating it up.

Part of the reason it's expensive is because there are so many toppings you can add for free. Go to McDonald's and add lettuce, tomatoes, etc, they nickel and dime you for everything. And Five Guys has a crazy selection of toppings Tha no other fast food joint has.
Did you have to take out a second mortgage to pay for it? That place is soooo expensive. Where do they get there ingredients from Whole Foods?

As a manager here, I can tell you that everything is farm fresh. Buns are made and shipped directly to the store, all the vegetables are fresh. The potatoes are fresh. Its all great, high quality ingredients

Don’t know how they are in the U.S. but here in London (UK) they’re a rip off. It costs £17 ($22) for a cheeseburger chips and drink. It’s ridiculous as their burgers aren’t special at all!
Holy christ that's spendy. They are expensive in the US, but not that bad. A big bacon burger (there most expensive burger) is $10 or so after tax, a little fry is about $3.50 (which is plenty of fries for one person), and drinks (not shakes), are about $2.50 I think. Shakes a pretty spendy at almost $5, and they're not that big. I've never had one there though, so I can't say if they're worth it or not.

"animal style sauce" aka big mac 'secret' sauce aka mayo ketchup relish. next level is skipping the relish and trying out splashes of different mustards like spicy brown, honey bbq or dijon.

First off In N Out animal style is not just trying to copy their sauce. 2nd , having 5 guys last night for the second time, they are good, but In N Out blows them out of the water. Banana shake was thin and runny, grilled mushrooms were raw, but they do have very good fries!

Knowing Five Guys it probably took an hour or so after ordering to get the food. Good food, but all local locations take forever to get food out.
It's why I don't go to my local 5 Guys... I may have to try the one closer to work, but my locals take at least 10-15 minutes usually and that's with minimal people there (other than one time it only too 5) and there are definite gaps between orders coming out.

Reality check? Their restaurants are bare and empty and never filled up with customers. After my first and only experience with them? Me and my friends took our business to our local Hardee's Franchise, where my money, shows the real thing in taste, looks, and high-quality product! Glad I saw this CZcams presentation, so I can finally express my distaste for that company!~ You won't see me ever back to that place ever again, and advise others to stay away from them. Really, $22 plus tax, for 2 tiny and tasteless burgers, fries, and 2 beverages? As their Sweet Tea was really, colorless sugared water! What a shame! And Fries holds a large salt mine! Then its store is nicely tucked away across a FedEx Office Store on Campbell Lane, Bowling Green, Kentucky. My Hardees or Carls Junior and Culvers, are my recommendations to pay a regular visit. 💖😜💖
