Honestly, in my opinion, it's seems just like a mix of all of the "sad" songs of TFK, I love it!

These guys are so talented! They are definitely known for they're harder songs like Welcome to the Masquerade and Take it out on Me but I don't think they get enough credit for they're more ballad style songs like Wish You Well, Breathe You In, and now this one: Honest! Okay, this is now my other most favorite song from this album. The lyrics hit so close to home, I swear...
I feel that this song has more than one meaning. When he said it's not too late to be rescued, either he means we can give ourselves to the lord and he will forgive us (which I honestly don't mind) or he means there's still hope for those who are struggling with life. They just need to reach out to someone, to call for help. Either way, I think he means both of these answers at the same time, giving us the power of choice. That alone is so empowering we really do feel words have power, and he's just demonstrated that power. The power of change.
I may listen to this throughout my battles with my insecurities.
