I don’t know what I’m more jealous of: Albrecht’s beautiful oboe d’amore or that amazing jacket!
I am jealous of his sound
Albrecht looking very sporty in a red jacket! Such a gifted musician.
Gift has nothing to do with it. It's all about passion, pedagogy, and practice. Hey I just came up with the three P's of excelling at anything!
@@DariusSarrafi as a former conservatory student myself having studied under Dorothy DeLay for several years and watching many conservatoire students I can tell you how much talent makes a difference. Hard work only gets you so far without talent..
I would not do it…
Lovely, sensitive string playing as well.
Bachs music is the most
healing music I know .
🤍
Oboe - froh-lockend, öffnet soo schön das Herz!! .. Danke
This soloist!!! always enhancing the orchestra !!! with his playing!!!
He was in İstanbul 14 April 2022 with same jacket🧥, first time listen him. Awesome. 🌟 Also he was very gentle.
What a sound!
Albrecht Mayer is a living legend. I still can't believe I heard him live in Istanbul last Thursday night. He plays great and flawless. I would like to thank my girlfriend for inviting me to Mayer's concert 🙃
Where was his concert in Istanbul?
Lothar Koch was the real legend ♥️
@@mojtabakhalilzade4835 It was in Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall.
J'adore Bach
Lovely, performance full of joyful spirit! And look at Albrecht’s red jacket, fits very well to the nature of the music! Thanks a lot!
Always a giant on the classical music stage, it all goes back to J.S. Bach and his compositions. Such an influential composer, I named my first son after the Brandenburg concertos. 😎
What‘s the name of your son?
@@ng-gw2yr
Branden. 😎
👍
@@DaestrumManitz oh thank God, I thought you named him Brandenburg. Sorry for doubting you Mr. Stranger. Branden's a cool name, I hope he grows up with a lot of music in his life 👍
I would have named my daughter chaconne. But it makes for a bad name in French
Keeps that light, dancing quality that is more “JS Bach” to me than a serious, stern interpretation. Very nice!
I will just add that much of his sacred music is, properly, of a solemn nature.
Very well put. All baroque music is, in one sense of another, music of the dance, and to truly get the proper feeling and grace, it mustn’t be romanticized too much or played with too much heaviness
@@metroidfoosion73 yes! Bach music is full of dance
This is great to dance to.
Such a beautiful sound! 💗
The articulation from this mature and confident soloist is such a joy to listen to. The sound is also very good here. I don't know how many times I've played this clip.
Albrecht we all love you
Brilliant rendition, Thank you so much.
Berlin phil was my fav orchestra and always will be
This IS absolutely amazing🎴🎑⛩️
Albrecht Mayer!!! El Mejor Oboista de estos tiempos!!!!!🌹🌹🌹

Very enjoyable 🙏🏻❤️🇨🇦
That was a robust performance out there. U really made my day. Would have loved to have the music played longer.
👏
Divino
Perfeito
❤❤❤
Просто хотелось посмотреть на Bastian Shafer спустя 8 лет... Он до сих пор играет в этом составе, уважуха
As good as a wink. Well, actually no nod but claps.
Far better. Almost heavenly on a Merry Easter day.
❤️
Que maravilhoso oboé!
Bravi!
Can't wait to also perform the premiere of a brand new orchestra in Berlin: World Phil! On April 29th at 8 PM in Kammermusiksaal!
❣️🙏
The flaring bell of that d’amore offends me aesthetically, but the music is wonderful!
yes, the bell should be characteristic... for a d'amore...
Is an oboe d'amore, not an oboe. It is pitched in A, unlike the oboe which is of C pitch.
For years this existed only as a harpsichord concerto but Bach wrote a colleague he had written this for the d'amore. Original never found...this is a reconstruction done in the 80s.
They said it in the description
why is his neck so JACKED
i could barely hear the music over the soloists jacket.
The colour of his tone is really exceptional. I wonder why he gets so red in face in comparison with other oboists at his level like Dominik Wollenweber or Vilhelm Veverka...High blood pressure?
If i could play with an orchestra it would be Berlin Phil
the real ones know that's not an oboe lol but still amazing 🤩
Am I mistaken but is that an English horn… it has that longer neck and it sounds pitched down a bit?
Oboe d’amore, it’s in the middle register between oboe and English horn
Keyed in A.
Why he plays like Strauss concerto? No articulations and the vibrato but ok he is very good...
Hi! Can I negotiate with you to release the nickname "philbach"? I really need it. Please give feedback.
On his CD Holliger is much more expressive
Yep, much more
No esta completo😢😢😢😢
🌈💐🎇💛💚💜💙❤️🌈
🤔
Only thing that would’ve made it better is if he was stepping with his feet too.
face si Lenin !! conductor
サムネ、アバドかと。
bach's rigid form can't be forced to be presented.
this performance is too forced and felt fake.
This is not good for his health. You see how red his face is turning? He’s going to pop a blood vessel or have a brain aneurysm. Playing phrases that long without breathing is putting too much exertion on his body and raising his blood pressure to a dangerous level. I can’t help but feel that the human body wasn’t meant to play an instrument like that.
I saw him live and thought exactly the same at that moment
You have free divers who don't breathe for ten minutes. He'll be fine.
