Dudek V-King First Impressions

- Today we're taking a look at the Dudek V-King single skin glider. I'll be giving my first impressions of the wing and who I think it's best suited to.
Please do bear in mind I am a relatively new pilot (1 years worth of flying) hence why this is a first impressions video and not a review. Regardless, the market this wing is targeted at I believe is of a similar skill level to my own. You can have great fun on this wing, It turns beautifully and is very stable.

Have you tried the Dudek V-King yet?
You said you flare twice as high - is it potentially a harder landing than a double skin ?
I actually managed to stall one on take off at 3 feet up. A 23m version. Basically don’t use any brake to help the lift off, they can get off the ground much slower than my uni 28.

You dont have to slide the brakes in the clip from the bottom. They can clip straight in. It's a fun wing
Yea man after that flight I looked at them again and yes they can clip straight in although I’m not sure I like them still. 9:47
I think they are necessary because if you accidentally drop a toggle or it comes off the magnet, the toggles can end up in the prop.
Not sure i'm following Mitch, which part is necessary? Magnets? Yes I also believe magnets are necessary but it's that magnet system I don't really like. Coupled with the thing webbing type break handle, it makes it awkward to stow the brakes in my opinion.
Nice one. I saw one of these but cant really get my head around the way it stays formed. Is there a winglands fly in soon ? So gutted pmc got cancelled
It's mainly formed using 3 tube sections (The white bits running along the chord) the rest is witchcraft. It'll launch just by farting at it 💨

Looks like 100-130 Kg. Ask Chilly next time you're down if he's not got students using it. Fun wing to play around with.

Hi Dan, its definitely a paraglider wing so will be fairly boaty. As we have said before, would it be the wing you would grab if the garage was on fire?

It slow sure but it definitely turns when you want it to, in fact I was quite taken back by how quickly it did! Yes, great for students but maybe not the one you’d save.
I've just bought just one of these. V-King ES 20m to be specific. I am not a paramotor pilot but I fly mostly mini and speedwing. Yes I know. It will give me a feeling that I am hanging still in the air but I will use it just for a relax mountain flight and keep the option open to do some paramotoring. I learned paragliding on a single skin years ago and I liked the concept of it. Despite the ES version is very heavy for a single skin It is still light to hike and fly with. I am curious. "Who can't appreciate the small and slow, isn't worth the fast" was my thought to buy it again. 😉

@@DanielJonesParamotormeanwhile I tried it for free flight in Spain. I have the 20m ES version. For free flying .......hmmmm to be honest. It sucks 😁 but I think I keep it anyway, just to keep my dream to fly paramotor alive. The way it comes up is remarkable. I knew the feeling already from my Niviuk Skin P but if people actually want to use this wing also for hike and fly. Don't take the EZ version. I think it will slow you more than the normal version. Can be wrong. Just a feeling. But the ES version. Even for a single skin ......wauw. it feels really ES😉
Which engine would you propose to use? I am thinking something like a lightweight engine like the atom 80.
Was your VKing in this movie also the ES version?
I put this wing on sale but at the end, think I'll keep it. For hike and fly I have other wings to fly with.
