  • The Cowal Peninsula around the South West of Scotland is a hugely under-estimated diving destination - it offers a great mixture of wreck-diving and scenics of wide variety.
The very highly recommended Jason Coles (Wreckspeditions) offers a welcoming dive charter service out of the Holy Loch marina in Dunoon.
The town itself is very friendly with a nice mixture of pubs and restaurants - 51st State & La Cantina was firm diver-friendly favourite during this trip.
Filmed using a GoPro Hero 4 Silver, GoPro Hero 7 Black and an Olympus TG-5 for stills.

American navy dumped loads of stuff in the Holy loch before they left.

All the more to dive! We did find a couple of landing craft, and apparently Wreckspeditions are continually finding new wreckage

@@scubavidsUK the Authorities cleared the Loch in 2000, found loads of stuff like weapons, steel panels, a generator (from the USS Canopus) and bones of a missing US Navy Sailor Larry Battles.
