Sorry to break it to you, but those are fake pearls. Real pearls have knots tie between each pearls to keep them from rubbing against each other and lowering the quality. If you have real pearls, you're also going to have to have them restrained every once in awhile to make sure those knots don't unravel, and they also do this so that if the necklace is broken the pearls on all fall out and you won't lose all of them.
