No it fucking wasn't. 2007 was one of the hardest years of my life, I was 11, my brother got locked up in jail for the first time and he was only 18, my mother almost murdered me, spent a lot of days without electricity, struggled a lot in school. I don't know about your life but 2007 was one of the worst years in my life followed by 2008 which was also terrible because I got taken into foster care the end of that year and went through some hard times there.

I miss physical copies of CDs being sought after. I remember the day it dropped I wouldn't have time to go buy Graduation and knew it'd be sold out by the time I was done work so I had my dad go get it because he could leave his work whenever he wanted. If you were actually around back when this happened u know that this was a STRATEGIC competition for SALES that 50 planned, not beef. Kanye told the story about how 50 told him that they needed to do this to hype of both projects and to help continue to grow Ye's career. He was actually schooling Ye.

CAP if you really know 50 pissed a lot of powerful industry wigs off with his antics. The label sold 50 this idea it was NOT original. That’s VERY VERY important because the machine wanted the outcome to look like a slaughter and that’s exactly what it was.
