@@WakeUpReykjavik. Actually, it's traditionally whisky mixed into beer. You can pour a shot of whisky into a pint (half liter) of beer, and oftentimes the whisky is dropped in shotglass and all.

When I was stationed in Keflavik in the ‘70s, I, along with a few of my Icelandic partners at the LORAN station, used to sneak Bud off the base …..used to make me very popular at many parties.
