- With a tablet computer, Trump showed Xi and Peng video clips of his granddaughter, Arabella Kushner, singing in Mandarin and reciting part of the Three-Character Classic and ancient Chinese poems. Xi spoke highly of the child's Chinese skills and said her performance deserves an "A+".

This is rare for an American to learn Chinese Mandarin, as far as I know. I have never personally seen an American studying the Chinese language. This surprises me that the president's granddaughter was taught Chinese at such a young age and I wonder what motivated the parents to push her through that program. Meanwhile other American children her age are learning English and many are not learning even that language very well.
Majority of Americans only speaking English makes them seems like less educated and not that smart, especially when they being asked to talk about geography and something else regarding what’s happening in other countries
