    So glad they decided to do the rear tire, which is always easier than the front. And they don't bother showing the way you struggle at the end with the front tire and how to get around those struggles.

    I had some older dented up rims and was worried that it wasn't going to work, but it has worked PERFECTLY for 2 years now!!! I found out that it seals to the tire, NOT the rim, so as long as you have fresh tires, you are good to go! And the system has protected my rims AMAZINGLY since then. And once I followed the instructions I had no problem with install. THIS VIDEO WAS VERY HELPFULL!

    I'm always amazed at how easy the tires go on in these videos. Tire warm, soaked with RuGlid bead lube, bead down in the drop center, everything by the book (video), and it still feels like I'm about to break the bead getting the last 8-10 inches of the tire over the rim. I never pinch the tube and always get the tire on there, but it's a wrestling match, nothing like what's shown in all tire mounting videos.

      HillbillyonaYZ i was thinking the same yesterday while installing mine. Not thaking anything from this video as it shows every step very clearly...but....18in tire on 17in rim??? or that perticular tire is very soft or it has been mounted and unmounted a few times. My Mitas tire is much stiffer/harder than the tire in this video...anyways great video.!

    I keep coming back to this video. On my 4th front and rear tire changes, but I just can't remember the sequence to demount and remount each time.😄 But I completely skip beyond soapy water and go full nuclear. I add 6-8 ounces of tire Slime sealant before installing the second side of the bead. I keep the tire horizontal while installing the second bead. Then I bounce it where a slime leak won't matter (garage).
    Then pressure as usual. The slime always ALWAYS works and makes a perfect bead seal. I never lose air from the low pressure side. Running anywhere from 10-6 psi in the rear and 10-8 psi in the front. No flats in almost 5 years and have not had to replace any Tubliss component yet.

      Agree on the silly-putty tire used for the video. See 7:55. I am doing my first change to a new tire - bought the moto with rear tubliss installed. REMOVAL of the old tire without damaging the inner bladder is my main concern. I'd have to heat the old tire in the microwave to get it that soft. Silliness...

    Does anybody have trouble with a slow leak from the low pressure (actual tire) chamber, coming from the high pressure valve stem? I had that on my rear and then did the "soapy water and bounce on the ground trick" and that worked but then on my front tire I just can't get it to stop leaking. It seems like the nut that's on the high pressure tube should be on the outside, how is it supposed to seal with that huge nut in there? I mean it worked on my rear tire but the front is still not working. Any other things to try before taking it off and starting over?

      @1mrbikerman1 Před 7 lety

      uncleansanchez If your tape has the paper instructions specifying to overlap, then overlap. If your tape looks like the kind in the video, you probably won't be able to overlap anyway due to the length.

    I'd like see her take off a front 90-90 tyre and put a new one on a rim with a tubliss system, its a nightmare! I end up carefully cutting the old tyre with an angle grinder with a cutting disc, not ideal by any stretch of the imagination. The problem is that there is just not enough space in the rim 'well' for the tubliss system and the tyre.

    • @sidecarbod1441
      @sidecarbod1441 Před 3 lety

      @@thebigwing1199 You need to be very careful if you use a cutting disk, if you hit the bladder that will be the end of it! The actual issue is that the bead won't stay in the drop centre on the opposite side of the wheel to where to are trying to lever the bead off. I have now made 4 'bead buddies' to hold half of the bead in the drop centre, this makes levering the other half off very easy. You might be able to do something similar with G-clamps and bits of wood! The people that make Tubliss should come up with something that they sell as a kit.
