This order (7046-10 to 7053-10) is the last order of D40LFs ordered by Burlington Transit, and the last D40LFs to ever be built. These units are currently in the process of retirement with 4 being left in service (July 2024). These units are powered by a Cummins 8.9L 6 cylinder ISL EPA2007 280HP engine paired with a Allison World Gen IV B400R6 6 speed transmission. These units feature 37 American Seating Metropolitan seating, air powered door motors and ride on MAN axles.
This video was filmed on route 1 Plains-Fairview Eastbound towards Appleby GO starting at Plains at RBG and ending at Plains at Burlington GO Station. Route 1 travels East and West using mostly Plains Road/Fairview Street to connect passengers from King at James in Downtown Hamilton to Appleby GO.
