Otterbourne Christmas Mummers 2010

The Otterbourne Mummers performing the play in Otterbourne as they have for the community every Christmas since 1975. It was started up again after the words were handed down from a family member who had played the part of Little Johnny Jack in the play in 1904. Their play dates back to 1857.

Charlotte Yonge, the best selling Victorian authoress from Otterbourne, also wrote down the Mummers' play in 1898, in her book "John Keble' s parishes". She described the costumes as well.
