- This temple is significant for three reasons:
1) It was here that first time ever a statue of Shirdi Sai was installed, even before it happened in Shirdi.
2) The first stupa too was unveiled here by Swami, before He did it in Prasanthi Nilayam.
3) When He laid the foundation stone of this temple Bhagawan declared that this is His first spiritual centre.
Commemorating the 100th year of Shirdi Sai's Maha Samadhi (1918-2018), Radio Sai offers the video of this historic temple which connects both the Sais inextricably.

I have been Swami's devotee since 1959 and also a fortunate recipient of Vaidyanatha Swami Lingam materialised by Swami through one of His close devotees. I have read and heard many miracles performed by Swami. But I would certainly consider this story behind the construction of Shirdi Sai Temple in Guindy and whatever Swami performed for and at
this venue are perhaps the Most significant events connected to Swami's avatharam. I live in Bengaluru and had been to this divine place in Guindy about fifteen years back. Swami's Grace. Yet I di'nt know all that happened there. Thank you very very much. I am now longing to go to this divine place as early as possible. Sairam.

Sairam, I'm regreting a lot on seeing this video since I was living just 3 km from this temple not knowing the greatness of this place, temple, shrine stupa n the great history. The worst part was that I was working for more than a decade in a building minutes walk away from the temple. Only solace was with Swamy's blessing I visited this temple twice (again not knowing the greatness n historic value of this place). My heart felt thanks to radio sai for enlightening people like me. Amazing information and darshan of ShirdiSai temple at Guindy. It has been the first mandir, even prior to Shirdi mandir! This was a new info for me. I wish I could go there,which is now not possible at this age.My humble prostrations to both SAIs from here. Sangeeta

Didn't know the fact that the idol of Shirdi Sai is older than the one in Shirdi itself. Without knowing this I was worshipping at this temple 2015-16.

Sairam. Very good Episode. Our Shirdi Sai Baba temple at Kalaspalayam, Vellore has also a similar divine leela.There also Shirdi Sai idol is made of black granite. I think very rarely we see Shirdi Sai idol in black colour.
