I'm more impressed by his ability to shake that second mask over his eyes so efficiently
Thats his visor and his really a cyborg
@Marco like Jordie in Next generations?
Maybe he's a welder. We have to do that with our helmets
he's looking like cyborg raiden from metal gear lol
It's loose
I can hear daily dose of internet saying "This guy just beat a world record, but everyone had to stay quiet"
I clicked thinking it was daily dose lol
Everyone reading this with daily’s dose voices
Make this true! 😆
@@thebytewarrior8384 I was reading it in his nose

Katie literally judges every single one of your WRs lmao
Exactly lol. Btw I have no clue how u do what u do but u are a legend :D
Lucky charm
sus
Its a tradition at this point
I think it's because she's a delegate and you want someone competent if there's potential for a good result
I am so impressed by the self control and respect he has to remain quiet.
thanks haha, u kinda get used to it after competing a lot
@@TommyCherry what a god reply, getting used to breaking WRs
@@lebryanthoward9416 I was referring to the being quiet part lol
Respect to your pfp

That’s literally the best WR reaction ever, I love this video. Also AMAZING SOLVING!
Have you forgotten tymon’s 5.09 average?
@@theleftycuber5158 that was some out of the world expression

I love how this video is a great example of non verbal language. The countless fists, the hands on the head/face.. body language is 70% of how we communicate to each other and this video describes it perfectly.
I can't believe this guy got the world record without screaming while my neighbors can't make a minute of silence when I'm working from home.
bruh
It’s not their responsibility to adjust to you working from home
Have you considered relocating the neighbors into a pond or a hog pen or a deep concrete pour?
If they are being pests during daytime, they are being pests after work hours too, when you deserve to relax. They are vermin.
@@WesleyB-Rook I don’t think he means that they always have to be quiet because he’s working from home. It’s more likely that they’re just very loud and/or are always making noise
@@WesleyB-Rook you've never had a neighbor who screams in bloody murder whenever he dies in a video games or burns himself slightly because he was cooking bacon topless... every fucking morning... 🤦♂️
I love how everyone came over and silently congratulated him
Imagine if he was able to scream 😆
Hello timmy
Ye I mean like bro
“YES WORLD RECORD”
The scream was all in the reaction 🤣
All the glass would’ve shattered of how loud he would’ve screamed lol

@@Tradingfreak611 he meant that he memorized the pattern of the cube in 5 seconds, which is very impressive considering it’s 6 colors in 48 different positions, 54 if you count the immovable squares

The way he shook his head to lower the blinds, so cool! Congratulations on the wr!
That's pretty standard among speedcubers that solve blind.
Yeah!!!
That's how everyone is supposed to do in order to save time
@@vikhyath. i don't know much about bld so that is new to me
As people already pointed out, everyone does it, but as someone who doesn't do or watch cubing, I always forget they do that and think how cool it is when I see it.
Congrats Tommy!! Inspirational man, BLD is so cool 👌🏻👌🏻
Did not expect to see u here
@@hart.6230 Yeah, who ever would have expected a rubiks cube fan who literally has the word "Rubik" in their name to be watching a rubiks cube video. Insanity!

“Inspirational” ye he really solved world hunger with this
@@zogbogbean2464 💀
Most people can’t even solve a Rubik’s cube.
This kid is doing it blindfolding in 15 seconds!
I don’t know who you are but hello
@@bingyyt he is my dad
Phrase it as a person. He doesn't look that young to begin with. Phrasing the kid part sounds pretty rude in this situation
@@apieceofblueglassmoon2288 Nope. You deal with it on your own.
@@TheMunky83 I didn't even @ him to even begin with. What are you saying "nope" about tbh. The things I said weren't even questions or anything. I am dealing it on my own by giving this person right here the thing he should know.
Congrats Tommy, incredible achievement once again :)
I just did my first successful 3BLD solve of 4:11 in comp this weekend, even that is a great feeling :D
Whats your pb in 3 bld
@@Serialplayer-pg6rr 1:21 with M2/OP at the moment. I did a 1:45 during the lunch break in the comp but the nerves just made me do the memo three times :D What about you?
in one of my comps this year someone broke nr mean and said to me afterwards that his goal was to not make a big reaction if he got nr. His chair ended up going *bonk* and everyone just looked over at him. Shame about bld having to be quiet during reactions to crazy solves like this one. Congrats tommy
BLD has got to be the weirdest WR event. Bc every time a WR happens everyone has to be quiet, so holding in excitement, trying to complete/start your solve, staying focused, and trying not to go ape sh** becomes impossible.
Great Job tho!
Why?
@@nick72486 I guess everyone there is blindfolded, so any big or loud noises would throw others off their own potential world records.
@@spiritual84 makes sense
No one likes a bad winner
@@nick72486 and it be quite the fright you'd be giving others by shouting in the middle of prolonged silence.
Those silent reactions are legendary
So much respect for your fellow competitors there - really nice too see that.
My favorite part of this video is the sportsmanship displayed by the guy sitting next to him. The WR is cool too, I guess.
tfw you get world records so easily that you can afford to give one of them a meme title 👌👌👌
congrats! im so impressed this is an otherworldly skill to have. the photographic memory, the fast fingers, being blindfolded, the way he slipped the mask on like nobodys business!
That’s hilarious.
Also crazy solve, geez, I can’t even fathom how you can get down to that speed for a blind solve.
Nah he just got lucky
@Kronin It’s not the same pattern, even though most good blindfolders use 3style, people like tommy cherry use even more advanced techniques, like floating buffer
He’s been so heavily conditioned to getting blind world records that if he got a sighted world record I think he would still remain quiet
idk about that LOL
this aged well
Everyone celebrating silently with him is so cute, especially that last lady 😁
What makes this funnier is as soon as you started executing, the scramblers behind you peeked with interest
1. Ninja smooth mask deployment.
2. Solving a cube with ninja speed and senses.
3. Ninja silent celebration.
Diagnosis: Ninja.
Well said 😅
It is insane how fast you are able to memorize all the pieces
I love the reactions of the three people in the back. Who am I kidding? Everyone's reaction in this clip is legendary!
Look at Katie popping off! Not everyone is capable of judging a world record!
This is the equivalent of raging in a game, but your parents are asleep.
Wow. 5.5 seconds to peek. And 9 seconds to solve blind. Incredible.
congrats ! i just got into cubing and solved for the first time yesterday lol, cant imagine how much time it took to get this good
Blind used to be really difficult but now there are three big solving techniques that make it possible for anybody with enough patience and practice
tommy cherry is now max park of 3BLD, breaks a world record every comp he goes
not quite lol
I was mesmerized. First, with the quick head shake to lower blinds and then by the quick fingers going "clickity clickity, clickity, CLICK" Loved it! 😍
Congrats tommy, it was a pleasure meeting you at this event also, amazing time, seriously dude! keep up the good work!
For people wondering they have to be quiet cause ur not allowed to speak in there as there are other people thinking while solving with their eyes closed aswell
I cant solve the cube but this is probably my favorite video and I just saw it. I can feel everyone’s emotion/excitement as if it was me, so cool.
Should probably pin an explanation of why you have to be quiet at this point LOL
Its so funny how the whole room is already watching him solve the cube like hes some kind of god and they know he could get the next world record any second looool
But seriously, how tf does he do that xdddd
the simple answer is 7 years' worth of practice + a certain extent of natural ability :)
@@TommyCherry oh wow i didnt expect you to answer or see the comment lol! Yeah i have no doubt you put in a huge amount of effort to master the skills needed to be able to do it and then this quickly. Huge respect and congratulations! :)
Nice, I just solved my first cube and it only took me 20 years.
Congrats, Tommy! One day, you’ll break mean again!
0:18 POV teachers congratulating you, on you passing the year
Psh when all those plebs that used to coach you try to congratulate you when you have achieved godhood
Good gracious goats Tommy! You are on another level of blind solving!
It takes me a minute to solve a cube with full eyesight lol. You’re awesome and you’ve earned this!
Wow, it was really nice of the library to let them host the event there.
This is so wholesome! They had to move in to share in his joy before it really exploded out lol
This is absolutely bonkers. In 6 seconds he had memorized every single side and instinctively knew the solve. As a non-cuber I think I could glance at a side really quick and be able to tell you the colors of that side. But to be able to do that again 5 more times and then solve I just don’t understand lol
haha actually with the way I (and almost all other people who solve blindfolded) memorize, I can convert what I see into about 10 words rather than memorizing the arrangement of all 54 stickers
@@TommyCherry so basically you turn what you see into a zip file, and then just uncompress it again 😳
@@ChronoMune kinda lol
@@TommyCherry what do you mean convert it into 10 words?….
@@sethrose1325 so one way the cube can be thought of is as 20 pieces (8 corners and 12 edges) moving around the centers. Depending on where the piece at a certain location has to go, I memorize a certain letter, and next I determine where the piece in the position of that new location needs to go. With this I memorize another letter and then combine the two letters memorized into a word. For example if I have D then G, I can think of a dog
I'm really happy for this guy getting a new WR. But I don't understand why everyone have to be completely silent. LOL Can someone explain please.
haha it's cuz other people were competing at the same time so they needed to focus
@@TommyCherry Haha! Damn! I had no idea this competition was that serious. You learn something new everyday. lol
@@boombastik3584 You are allowed to talk for events at competitions, just not for blindfolded
@@yat_ii I’m assuming the quiet is for those using sound to know where they are on the cube while blindfolded, right? Or is there some other reason aside from that and focus?
@@TommyCherry Thanks, was looking for that information as well. Makes sense. Could be good information in description for people like me that still has an unsolved 2x2x2 cube sitting on the shelf. Grats on the wr!
he just want to scream it out but stays so quit its funny to watch
He has no choice. You have to be quiet during blindfolded.
0:07 Tactical visor activated
I can't even solve a rubrics cube, this guy flat out memorized it in a few seconds and finished in 14 seconds. Amazing skill
Dang Tommy You’ll definitely have the first sub 10 official blind solve
Definitely
the community/people there are so supportive I LOVE TO SEE IT
kinda looks like a skit about mute people lmao
The excitement was so quiet I was holding my breath watching.
hopefully that didn't hurt too much 😆
Nicely done! Congratulations on all your hard work to get to this point!

0:27 Her congratulations just feels even more wholesome to me.
If that kid inhaled to shout from excitement, I'm sure he would have exploded

I’m getting to the comp late and there’s already been 5 wrs lol but congrats tommy!
The magic with Rubik cubes was lost when the pattern became popular. All of a sudden, my entire dorm could solve any cube relatively quickly.
That was the loudest yet quietest celebration ever
This video is quieter than every library I've been in.

Hi Tommy remember when I met up with you once at Panera? You’re a really nice guy. Thank you!
My brother knows him, he’s coming home today
I'm surprised you haven't made a pin yet that states that the reason your were celebrating quietly was due to your respect to the other competitors and their focus.
Everyone quietly congratulating him was pretty funny
I felt good about just recently getting a really lucky fast solve of just under a minute on my Rubik's Cube, then I see this guy pop out of nowhere on my recommended and solving this shit blind folded in 14 fuckin seconds starting from the memorisation part. Fuck me sideways.
But nah seriously that shit's mad impressive. I can't even fathom how you memorise all 20 pieces that quickly.

Epic judging. Remained composed, gave a nod, checked the cube and made sure she got the time written down ASAP before any shenanigans could occur. 👌
I can't do them things with my eyes open, let alone blind folded!!!! Congrats for the WR! :)
