I love this. I lived on Little Cayman for a long time. My husband and I sold Pirates Point to Gladys Howard. We owned the runway and Hanger and built The Villas and The Hungry Iguana. My husband, Sonny Hughes died 17 years ago at 60 from Pancreatic Cancer. In my heart he roams Little Cayman, with all the ghosts of adventurers, plotting and planning. I live on Grand Cayman. My heart remains on Little Cayman.

I was there in 97 I worked at Edd's place restaurant and bar and his bar also at spot bay. I was there when the island princess died (Eva) may her soul rest in peace. It is indeed a beautiful 💎

Great job, Bob and Jon! I've lived on Grand Cayman with my Caymanian husband for 35 years. We honeymooned on Little Cayman 15 years after you made this video (in '85). We still go to Little Cayman as often as we can because, thankfully, it is still Paradise on earth. Do you ever get back to the islands?

THANK YOU a thousand times over for posting this video! It was filmed before I joined Cayman Airways as a DC-3 copilot. I flew with Capt. Christopher McLaughlin (and occasionally with Capts. Harrison Bothwell and Wilbur Thompson) to Cayman Brac and Little Cayman as my first flying job. Looking back, I wouldn't trade the experience for anything in the world!

Great job Johnathan! you could have been the next David Attenborough narrator! Love your homemade background music and hand drawn graphics.
Did you get an 'A' for the project? Or did you not turn in your work until 2012...

Little Cayman, I don't feel a stranger whenever I go there. The Southern Cross Club is fantastic still nowadays. A must see of unspoiled land in the Caribbean. No highways, no rush as stated at the end of this little documentary.

Awesome video, love seeing the old footage. I go there every year and its absolutely my favorite place, like a second home. I love the fact that most everyone knows me and vice versa. Hope they never change it, limit the number of resorts and never expand the airport…that will ensure it stays small and special. Little Cayman is a hidden gem.

Great video! Thanks for posting. I moved to Grand Cayman from the States in August 1975 and miss the "old days" of growing up here. It is so developed now on Grand Cayman compared to when I arrived here, but that is the price of progress I suppose.

Thanks for the nice look back in the past. The nice thing is at the end he was wrong. Little Cayman isn't all built up like he thought. There are slightly more modern facilities and a 17 seater Twin Otter drops people and some goods off daily. The population has only increased to approx. 120 people right now. Of course there are tourists in the summer, but there are not very many.

Brac is pronounced like rack with a b in front of it. Not like the candy company.
