I know you probably received a lot of advice as a new dad but if you haven’t heard this advice below try to apply when possible.
As you son gets older try to record video beyond the milestones (eg., saying daddy, walking for the first time, birthday cake).
Records those moments as they are milestone but there is development throughout their life that you want to reflect back on.
As an example, capture moments when they know they are not on camera…eating food with their hands (chocolate cake, pudding, cookie etc). Or when they start to play with toys (so you can hear them speak out loud with their imagination). Or while they are drawing/coloring (so you hear them speak out loud or hear them sing a song).
When you look back at these types of growth activities they will bring you tears.

I'm glad you're handling fatherhood well! I heard so much hubbub online about how bad people thought the AoT ending was, and they hoped it would end differently in the anime, but honestly, I really enjoyed it. It felt so based in reality with how humans would be in those world circumstances

That feeling of accomplishment when you see your child reach milestones. It never goes away. So happy to see you on this journey. Congrats to you and your wife. The baby phase is a flash. It goes by quicker than you can ever realize. Savor it and appreciate it.
Something that hit me this year was prayering over the generation that your kids with be growning up in. It's easy to cover your own kids in prayer and their friends but you don't know how their generation will be impacted by the world and so praying for their generation is just as important. As always I love the space you've created will keep you and your family in prayer.
Congrats to you and your wife on this new journey. Family is important but also knowing the limits and understanding them is what’s going to make the journey an adventure for learning and trust. I respect all you do and the advice you give. One love!!💜

As a recent dad, record everything: new noises, cries, etc. one day they stop doing that cute now or their cries change and you’ll kinda miss it (sounds a little crazy, I know). Happy for you!!

Congrats on the success bro. As a dad myself, the best advice I can offer is to remember to take time for Dev. I know you basically got done telling us that you’re gonna be super busy lol but it’s so important man. Just remember it’s easy to get burned out if you don’t take time to do the the things you enjoy outside of work. Whether that’s taking an hour in the mornings or scheduling something every other month. Make it yours and make it work for you. Peace and love man ✊🏾
