Haha well they get everything normal Space Marines get now, and you can play them more standard if you want. So it's not too bad.

I am literally doing the same.
You guys will do fine. Just make sure you get as much table time as possible. You’ll definitely make mistakes, but those losses will add up for future wins
They can be beginner friendly if you don't go wild with weapon variants in your kill teams and don't use the optional units in your Proteus, Spectrus, and Fortis kill teams.
You can literally use any Imperium unit in 40k, so build your army however you want for the play style you prefer.
As a deathwatch player, I find this army extremely rewarding to learn every rule, like the kill team mechanics
They are a great army.. Got mine slowly building up!

I love the Deathwatch because of how fun they are in Kill Team and how relatively cheap they are to assemble a really cool and diverse squad
That is where they truly belong. Perfect for that game!
I picked the death watch as my second army because I pick my army over lore and not by gameplay I just love how each member can have there own back story and the customization of each member
That's definitely their main selling point for me. And they give me the great opportunity to kitbash the community army as well!
As someone with a deathwatch army I think this video is great and shows us off as good as a beginner can
i play deathwatch they are awesome the lore is great we lack anti tank, but with the eradicators from the new indomitus box that fills a little gap
Since I made this video I've been planning out my Deathwatch project.. They're just too cool.
I just need to find out some more lore stuff and it's go time.
Hopefully when they get their new supplement they'll be more fleshed out.
@@JamsMiniMods im guessing they are going to make some sort of primaris veterans so you can mix and match all the new units into one squad same as the old vets and hopefull a remodel of the watchmaster, because i cant bloody buy one online at the moment always out of stock haha
Yeah I'm really interested to see where they go.. They're a very underused army right now.
Specially with the older marines slowly going away I'd like to see some new primaris stuff.
I have a small squad of Deathwatch based upon squad Talon Alpha from the books by Steve Parker.
I need to read more Deathwatch stuff.. But I'll look into them
I hope they get the Phobos Marines seeing how they are now in the main Codex.
Yeah I'm sure they will get a lot of new toys in that book 🤔

I'm in the process of making an "Outcasts" Kill team - a Fallen, a DeathCompany, a Wulfen, a Black Dragon (searching for more)
That's actually a pretty sweet idea.. Maybe a black shield? Nothing else is coming to mind right now 🤔
Jam's Mini Mods basically anything that is considered maybe more corrupt or unhinged. Proabbly add an alpha legion in there. Might make a chapter of my own just for one as well. Maybe a blood raven librarian as their association with Thousand sons. But yeah that’s about it as far as I can remember. I think there’s a raven guard-sired chapter that is considered out-there

Jam's Mini Mods and that’s why I play DW all da conversions. I couldn’t choose between BA, DA, Sallies, Wolves. So now I have a bit of everything. I will also possibly do environmental kill teams. Like the Tundra squad or Mustafa squad. Cos why wear only black when your job needs environmental specifics? But yeah freedom to choose is where it’s at.

Dam right not beginner friendly. Remember all the stratagems, plus all super doctrines for all marines, plus normal doctorines, all layers of re-rolls. It's mad
Definitely the most complicated Marine chapter!
I Love my Deathwatch. The mixed units allow for some really powerful squads. My favorite Squad is around 250 points -2 aggressors, 3 Hell blasters with assualt plasma and 5 Intercessors with assualt rifles. Advance and shoot without penalty, or even better, shoot twice if you dont move - thats 72 shots with the new blast rules, 18 of which are plasma.
They're really growing on me and I'm actually planning them out for my next marine project! All the different unit compositions look fun as well. 🤘
Ive never had as much fun in 40k as I have with Deathwatch. You can build really fun units. The corvus gets alot of hate but its a transport that can help you move fast round the board- personally I dont always use it but its not terrible.
It took a while to get a grip with all the special rules, but once you find a unit that works its great fun.

I play deathwatch, and my simple rules for this army is this... NO ONLY STORM BOLTERS AND SHIELDS! And to have fun ideas of using the unique weapons and tactics they have. Great video on them.

I heard that an entire squad with the Storm bolsters and shields was the way to go but I made mine with mixed weapons (I need more standard bolters or at least add some terminators).
These units look better than what we got rn like they took out the terminators for them( THEY HAD A 10 MAN SQUAD)
If you’re not fighting Daemons or human psykers, Deathwatch is the choice. Lore is rich and fun too. Reading the novel now.

never seen a dw army in person but i love there gear use it on all kinds of conversions
I've seen one or two and they all look great! Hopefully I'll get mine on the table soon!
I am just starting and honestly the deathwatch kill team called me. So worst case I lost 32 dollars. Then the combat patrol should be a easy buy. I look forward to it.
The kill team is never a waste.. So many great models in there. I got the patrol box for my army as well, it's a good place to start!

@Corrosion15 they are the perfect chapter if you can't decide on one chapter.. you can do them all haha. I do have a lot of videos doing deathwatch conversions

You can have separate detachments.. one for deathwatch and one for dark Angels. That can work 🤔

Hey, I'm all good. The Marines in that box can be anything you want. Imperial Fists, Black Templar, Salamanders.. It's all up to you.

Currently you have to buy the Space Marine codex and the Deathwatch supplement
