This style of Chinese Checkers play provides additional opportunities for maneuvering around the board. The goal of the game is the same. This is just a modification of the rules for jumping.

I want to buy a cool Chinese checker board for myself for Christmas / 2023.
Bought a Pressman. It’s cardboard. Cheap. And it was 20 bucks.
Any ideas on a real good board ? Wooden. Deep pockets ?
One idea - make one. You will be so proud of yourself and the board. I'm not suggesting that you invest in a lot of wood working tools either. Friends and neighbors are usually happy to help out by lending a tool, time, or suggestions. It often makes people feel good when they help out in some way. Then you can invite them to play a game when the project is complete. Maybe make a video of the process and invite us to watch it. $20 for cardboard seems a bit steep but, that's the world today.
Where did you get the board?
My dad made it out in our garage about 50+ years ago. It made for a lot of family entertainment. The other side has a chess/checker board painted on it.
