- The Vancouver Canucks have been eliminated by the Edmonton Oilers in 7 game, they will play the Dallas Stars. Brock Boeser wasn't able to play, and the Canucks had a tough start, but they almost battled back to win the game. It was a great season for the Canucks, and I can't wait for the next one! Thank you all so much for joining me, and we're gonn akeep it going for the rest of the playoffs.

It took 2 periods to figure out line changes and feeling each other out. They gelled in the 3rd period.
As an Oilers fan I can't say I could've asked for much more. This was one hell of a ride, both teams taking the wheel back and forth. Love that your fanbase can turn it off when it's time to shake hands and I have for sure gained a ton of respect for both the team, and their fans. Great series and I know for a fact the Nucks will be back next year. Keep your heads up, you guys have a sick team with a bright future. o7

Spent too much money going to Game 7 and I wouldn’t have been so bummed if they played their hearts out, Not just for 10 minutes but it was at least exciting! Can’t wait for next season.

Rookie coach vs Coach who lost 4 times in conference finals and 3 times in the final. The second straight year for dallas in the conference finals beating the last two champions along the way this year.
When the oilers win this will be the greatest oilers season of all time!! (In my books) never followed hockey in Gretzky era as i was not born yet lol.

Leafs fan here, if its one other canadian team i love its the canucks, was really rooting for them to win. But its okay, they had a great run considering everyone viewed them as the underdogs and im sure they'll be back and better next year. Im more confident in a canucks cup win than the leafs

Im an Oilers fan The Canucks had a great season, surpassed everyones expectations after the previous season. Great job Canucks and good luck next season!
Way too much love for Silovs. He made some good saves but the Ceci goal was really poor from him (much worse than either that Skinner let in) and that was key. That goal relieved the frustration for the Oil and was the turning point of the game (obv). Also Garland goal - he was wide open in the slot and mage a great shot - that will beat most goalies. Anyway Canucks did well to take it to 7 but 8-3 for the Oil in two elimination games tells the real story.
Just think, if our powerplay was serviceable this offseason, the oilers and preds would have been smoked. Lots to look forward to in the coming years. Let's get our PP up

As a Canucks fan, I'm happy they got as far as they did. At the start of the season, they were expected to be maybe be fighting for a playoff spot. "They won't make the playoffs." "Oh.. well... they won't stay near the top." "Well.. they gonna knocked out first round." "Well, That's nice but Oilers in 5." And they did it without their top 2 goalies. People say they were overrated. No, they exceeded expectations.
we got some AWESOME pieces here right now.....Miller in his prime, Future Hall Of Fame Defenceman/Captain Quinn Hughes entering his prime years, Maybe one of best coaches Nucks have ever had (mad shoutout to the late Pat Quinn) and probably the best 1 -2 goalie punch in the league....
if Management/Owner can make the right moves...the 5-7 year window here looks great....especially with prospects like Lekkeramaki and Willander waiting in the wings
on that note cuz i'm curious....who else would trade Demko & Joshua for Nylander?? (rumoured this is being discussed as Leafs need to shake up core group...probably great move for Leafs too)

Maaaaaaan I’m so depressed lol. As awesome as a comeback game 7 win, without the lead goal scorer brockstar would’ve been, the boys gave us an awesome play off run. The Canucks played an amazing season and weathered through so much adversity.
Seems like we now have a playoff team for the next few seasons, I hope that manifests itself.

Oiler fan here. This was a great series that could have gone either way. My observations about the Canucks, it just looked like they started running out of gas in game 5. But, jeez. Whoever is coaching the Canucks pp... needs to be fired, sorry that's my opinion. It really let the team down. And what was up with the shot totals? Loved how Silovs battled, though.
I agree. That's what lost them the game, if it was better then who knows what could have happened, but oh well. All the best against the Stars 🤝

Canucks really didn't show up for both game 6 and 7.... What a shame to end it that way on a hell of a season! I hope they can build on this for the future. Sadly, the Oilers did not beat the Canucks, the Canucks beat the Canucks. I say sadly, because the Oilers, being the only Canadian team left, are not a contender team. They are not a complete team, and I highly doubt they will make it all the way.

After an amazing season they fell off in the playoffs they didn’t try that hard in Nashville and it showed in the oilers games they seemed so lazy.
It’s true! You don’t need any perfect shot on Skinner lol! Skinner is straight up trash! I never knew how bad Skinner was till this series. If Pickard started against Vancouver it would’ve been a sweep. Boeser probably wouldn’t have led in scoring either. But now they face Dallas which is pretty much Vancouver 2. Not a lot of scoring talent but a decent goalie and overall balanced team. If they start Pickard they’ll cruise through Dallas. But I have a feeling they’ll drop 2 games right off the bat because Skinners gonna start. Then it’ll end up in 7 again.
Edmonton fan here, Canucks played amazing and the future is so bright for the group. Silovs was incredible and I have to agree that Skinner is just not a good goalie. I just keep thinking how good Edmonton would be overall with a goalie like him in net.

The Canucks didn't even showed up half of the time.
They had an overpaid guy who didn't feel like playing hockey and one that plays for the other team.
Yes, they did improve compared to previous years, but the team still has so many weaknesses. They won a series that could have gone either way with the Nashville Predators. They got beaten by an Edmonton team that relies on 2 players.
Overall, they already gotten farther than they deserve to and stopped where they should be stopped. Nobody wins a Stanley Cup by wishful thinking. You gotta be a good and well-rounded team to bring home the Cup.

LOL Bouchard most points *in NHL history* by D through 2 rounds, Hyman 54 goals and leading playoff goalscorer through 2 rounds, RNH 16 points (more than any non-Oiler) through 2 rounds. Truth be told the scores and the series flattered the Canucks. The Oilers out played them 5 and 2/3 of the games.
Coilers got away with a LOT of dirty plays in my opinion...I would bet Hughes has an undiagnosed concussion from some of the dirty hits as well. Kane should have been suspended.

Alright, Deaner, I told you I'd be back at the end of the series, but.................... I'm not here to chirp. Was probably the best series of the playoffs so far, and the Nucks certainly put up a gutsy performance with key losses in the roster.
This squad is gonna make some noise in the coming seasons here. Would have pulled for them as Canada's team had they moved on, but for this season at least, it looks like my team goes on. Maybe next season, will be pulling for Vancouver. 👍
To any Nucks fans reading this, these losses are tough at the time, but they will pay dividends in the coming years. Vancouver just got that much more hungry, and dangerous next year.
Here's hoping Edmonton learned something from this series, to help them against Dallas. It's going to be an uphill battle. 💪 🍻
