This is one of my favorite elephant videos. Its great to see how the group all comes to the baby's rescue. The mother and Fang both clearly show love and concern for the little baby. The look on the mother's face and her reaction when the baby stumbles, is clearly the same concern any parent has when their child is in harms way. Can one accurately describe what takes place in the video without anthropomorphism?
OMG Jamie...you were so blessed to have witnessed that up close and personal! When you said "Hi baby" @ 1:15 and the baby lifted it's little trunk and raised his foot up at you and opened his mouth as if to say hi back! Gosh...that has to be just the best thing ever!

Amazing to see a newborn elephant in the wild so soon after being born, with part of what appears to be it's umbilical cord still hanging down.
It is a boy.And not the umbilical cord is hanging other there.
