    I think you should think about sliding doors that slide into the wall to divide areas!! Love the boat so far can’t wait to see more!!

    What a wide variety of interiors to look at, from simple to posh. Always nice to check out other styles and gather some inspiration for your own style. You have an empty pallet to start with and skies the limit , plus a few extra quid wouldn’t hurt, Cheers.

    Brilliant. I'm happy to see you're getting ideas. Not a boater myself but a dreamer of owning one. Surely, those show boats never get used. They aren't lived in. Just for show. Also, yes, I know it isn't to scale. But I have a seiko solar powered watch that uses any light source to charge. Even a torch will charge it. You would think that these all electric vessel companies would have come up with this technology. Looking forward to your next episode.

    Chris and Priscilla, thanks for another interesting video! That boat show was quite the experience; visual overload for sure! These boat shows are interesting from the standpoint of creative ideas being unleashed in a "money no object" and not necessarily practical environment. However, it does provide a lot of useful ideas for your boat build. After seeing the ideas you like best, it might be good to go back and take detailed snapshots of your favorites.

    If you can run your dc on 24V or better still 48V. The higher voltage helps with volt drop and if you do get a fault the higher voltage is like higher pressure so it actually drives the fault so you get definitive failure. That way it is easier to find and rectify.

    Duo Vagari, concerning LiFePO4 batteries, have you given any thought to use server rack batteries. 5Kwh Eg4 is (USD $1150-$1350). There racks for either 3 or 6 batteries available. I have seen a 30 Kwh setup for under $7k USD.

    Hi guys, I just love narrow boat here in Australia. Unfortunately we do not have any but I must say having a diesel on board would be the way I would go. I watched a few programs with electric motors and sometimes they seem to have a lot of issues. Specially in England with the cloudy days and they have to have a diesel generator, which I think would defeat the purpose, especially with the new diesel motors they have today anyway that’s only my opinion that probably does not mean for much from Australia on the big island

    • @DuoVagari
      @DuoVagari  Před 2 měsíci +1

      We tend to agree with you the electric is just not there yet to justify the expense

    • @grahamdorey3244
      @grahamdorey3244 Před 2 měsíci +1

      I have a houseboat on the Murray, but with the flow and wind age, electric would not work yet. Can get plenty of solar, but motors are not yet big enough for the price. Electric on a canal boat is worth it even with a diesel, as they spend a lot of time idling in locks and that is eliminated. Also depends how much you are moving all the time. If you are a CC only moving for a few hours every few days it would be very efficient.

      Has the battery life been resolved? One reason Tesla is not doing well is the replacement cost and frequency. It's an interesting spreadsheet to compile over 7-10 years. Love the work you're doing on the boat.
