I’m so excited to share another home tour with you. Today we’re share Jessica of The Old Barn’s new build modern farmhouse. Jessica and her husband built their home in 2019 and she designed the floor plan herself. The flow of the floor plan is amazing and there is so much intention with every single space. I know! That sink is definitely something that caught my eye. I'm going to key that in my back pocket next time I renovate a kitchen.

Yay to a dinning room you can use every day - that you can dress up!!! The Southerner in me still wants a dining room, but not a fancy, stuffy one everyday. This is the sweet spot. 😍

What a beautiful home you have! The farmhouse with the coastal design is just what I like and would have if I had my druthers. You're one lucky duck to have such a lovely home and I hope you and your family enjoy it for many years to come.
Very nice! I used the fake fireplace trick in a former apartment. The mantle was originally a stage prop, but whoever made it did a decent job finishing it. I propped it against the wall and put a bunch of candles in the opening. When lit, it was as cozy as a real fire. It was a great focal point in the apt.
When we built our own home 9 years ago, we also were our own G.C.... you want something done right, ya gotta do it yourself!

I wish I had the positive experience with engineered wood that your guest had. My dog has ruined my engineered wood floors and there is nothing I can do but replace them.

Jessica made the barn doors to the bath using construction scraps because they were running low on time and to save on the budget. They're really pretty and I was shocked to learn they were DIY. Thanks for watching Maureen 💕

I love it but I feel like the house is definitely farm house but the decor is more Hamptons IMO. Still beautiful but not farm house inside.
Too much talking and not enough focus on the actual decor. We only get glimpses and the focus is too much on their story and inspiration, which is good but the focus should be on the decor. You could be talking but not showing you all which is 90% of the video. I love the homes you choose and the mother daughter chemistry. I have a headache by the end with all the chatter
