Im not a barber so I never realized how important zero gapping is until i got the babyliss lopro set. I cut my own hair/do my shapeups and been using the Wahl Detailers for the last 10 years. Out the box those are sharp and hit. I tried to use the babyliss straight out the box and was pulling hair like a mfer. Found this video and zero gapped it.... what a difference!!! They definitely hit now
Nice! Glad it helped 👌🏻
My man!!! I asked about this a few weeks Ago and you never lets us down!! Always providing videos and material we ask about!!! Thanks brotha!
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Because of you i started my CZcams channel i'm portuguese barber almost for 5years and i have a lot a content a lot of passion to show to everyone else thanks man god bless you🙏🏻💈✂️
Awesome!! 🙌🏻
This is easily the BEST video on zero gapping these. Out the box it hit but eh.. used this video… you’re technique has my babylis trimmer Hittin!!!! 🐐 🔥
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
I bought a babyliss to trim my own hair a while ago. Well I dropped it and messed it up! I was JUST about to order another trimmer. I’m glad I found your video. Now it’s back to normal. Thanks my guy
Nice!
I got my babyliss almost perfect but when I used this zero cap technique I can give God a shape now . 🔥🔥🔥🔥
It works! I have mine hittin the best ever right now!
@@Seancutshair I have the gold fx. But I think I still need more time with it. The andis corded t outliner for me gives sharp lines. I bought the babyliss because everyone on CZcams said they're hitters. But maybe its just me and not being used to this new trimmer, I can't get it to hit like the andis. Cutting my hair this weekend. So I'll give it a go
Thank bro this video was a big help
@@Dominicreviews do they hit now?
@@gideon7652 Absolutely! Sharpest cordless trimmer out there. Once the blade broke in, it was game over. The only downside to this trimmer is it's loud. But I only cut my own hair so it's tolerable.
Babyliss been waiting on this video from someone...dope drop bro
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I always knew how to loosen the screws and hold the blade in place manually, but never knew the purpose of the burgundy part. Great vid, thanks!
Now you know 👊🏼
😅
About to try this now, I’ll let you know. Thanks for video. Stay blessed!!
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

You’re welcome!!!
Beyond my knowledge and skill but still love the video.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the advice man
Welcome!
I love this man!
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
The issue I run into is that it shifts when I'm tightening the screws, it impossible to keep the guard/blade from moving.
My Guy!! Good Look 💪🏽💯
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
That's one thing am klutch at lol u see what I did there is setting my babyliss trimmers mines are perfect thanks tho
Thank you very much player 👊🏽. I found a sale on these " more than 50% off" , so I can't pass it up. I've been using Andis for years, but I'mma give these a try.
That’s a steal! You’ll love them
So much easier than the way I’ve been doing it 🤦🏽♂️🙏🏽
Good to hear!!!

Preciate that brother!
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Yo my fav blade is the fine tooth graphite. It’s basically the gold blade but graphite. Only been able to find it at certain places
I need that!!!
I love babyliss fx trimmers🔥
They’re the best!
Salute from philly 💈✂️👑
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thank you sir!
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I just got the gold trimmers and I feel like i need to push back just a tad bit more even with this method. My neck is a hugely sensitive area for me lol.
Yeah if it’s too close just do it again and take it back slightly 👌🏻
Thank you! 💚🙏🏼
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Good shit!
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
I’m new to the Fx, when I zero gapped and did the roll. They still pull on my beard hair? I oil the blades as well. It pulled out of box, and still after zero gap it will pull strands. Any possible tips would be helpful!
They’re a little finicky. Have to be set just right. I’d just reset them until it fixes the problem. Sometimes takes me 3-4 times to get it right
Good lookin out!
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Thank you ❣️
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
my new one is pulling hair even after adjusting and oiling the blades. Anything else i can do to fix it?
Just try resetting it until it doesn’t do that. Sometimes they’re just so slightly off they don’t cut right. It takes me 2-3 times every time to get it just right
Do you know where I can buy the red zero gap tool and the hex screw driver? I lost mine thanks
Don’t think you can buy it anywhere. Comes with all the skeleton trimmers though
Just ordered these for keeping my beard right...which guards/combs will fit these? Rookie question, I know 😅
Not sure if it comes with guards I’ve never used them if it did.
one question i tie the sscrew but the blade is still moving a little what i need to do?
If it’s tightened all the way it shouldn’t move
Quick question if when I zero gapped it and they are pulling how do I fix that? I did one cut and it was fine and the next guest it knicked him. Is it Bc they could have gotten loose? They seem to be lined correctly
Reset them again. It just happens sometimes. Adjust it again and it can fix the problem
hi friend, sorry my english but i have a very important question
but that little screwdriver you use to tighten the blades, what's its name and where can I buy it? I can't find it anywhere!!
It comes with the trimmers
Love it! Straight to the POINT (and effective)!
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Damn wish I would have seen this video a long time ago 😅🔥
At least you have now!
What camera and lens do you use? Love the quality 👌🏻👌🏻
Canon m50 with the sigma 18-35
Perfect thanks
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Thanks for the video man! I just zero gapped mine, the smaller blade is just underneath the bigger blade but it still feels like it’s scraping the skin. Is this normal or should I move the smaller blade down more? I just want them to hit
It might be too sharp or sometimes the still blade is just rough and needs to be broken in before it is smooth and slides easier
@@Seancutshair ok perfect, I’ll give myself a cut and see how it goes, thanks heaps man!!
Thanks
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Can I replace my 2.0 graphite blade for the gold fx blade on my black babyliss fx trimmer? Or do they not have the same fit?
Yeah they should all fit the same
Please would recommend this for balding. And recommendations for balding trimmer or clippers?
Yes these are great for balding
So they don’t cut people because they aren’t zero gapped but Do you still have to be light handed will they still hurt people if It ash’s the skin?
They’re still pretty sharp so I don’t press too hard. But some trimmers will slice if you put any pressure
I have the Silver FX.Ive tried a few times zero gapping. Soon as I turn it on the left side on the blade shifts down slighty. I cant tighten the screws anymore Any idea what else could be causing this
I’m not sure exactly. May just be time for a different blade
I stripped the zero gap screws and idk what kind it is to replace when it unscrews
Might just have to get a new blade
I use the( all set blade setter) works for any trimmer blades. And will have all your trimmer hit.. very easy.. Sean dm me I’ll show you what I use
That’s what’s up! I need to check it out
Yo sean my gold blade cuts the skin when i use it to debulk and gets stuck and pulls the skin :( and i already less zero gapped them and they still the same.. my clients say it feels sharp and scratches.. is it a faulty blade or all gold blades all the same?
It shouldn’t do that if it’s less than zero gapped. I’d just adjust it again. Sometimes takes a few times and if it’s not quite right it will snag and pull
Hey man
My screws are are really stuck and not coming out ... any suggestions ??
Have you tried it with the blade off the trimmer? If not try that. It’s hard with that small screwdriver. Could take a short stubby bit (like the ones for interchangeable screwdrivers) that fits the screws, then put it in a socket so you get more torque.
What is the benefit of zero gap? Would be nice to see a close-up of the blade
Just cuts sharper. The blades are flush with each other with “zero gap”
Cool vid
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Good lookin, just got my mine the other day with the black dlc 2.0 blade but they were not hitting, this video helped and was simple. 👍🏽
👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
Hey do you know if the sceleton trimmer also easily works for shaving the head to bald/0 ? Or is it too much work with the trimmer?
It will definitely shave it down, but won’t be as short as a shaver or razor.
@@Seancutshair hey Sir! Does the skeleton fx cut as short as a wahl balding clipper. I use the wahl for my bald head but i want the change to a smaller cordless tool. Or do you have any other recommandation? Peace!🙏
@@dlaszl415 I just got the fx3 foil shaver. It’s incredible, practically razor smooth
One of the screws wont come out, its too tight and my screw just spins around it? What can i do to fix that?
Not sure you’ll have to find a way to hold that screw in place
Put a piece or rubberband and that will work
Any advice to zero gap it without the main baby kiss tools? Lost them
Just loosen the screws and use something flat the press it to zero. Still eyeball it and check it like I did in the video
Hey what can you use on the Babyliss if you don't have the zero set tool?
Just use a flat surface to push the blades flush then eyeball it if you want to scoot it back any
I had zero gap my babyliss fx trimer by following your tutorial and now they ar crunching end cutting my clients how exactly do it?
Need to scoot it back just a hair. Takes a few times to get just right
@@Seancutshairthank you very much I'm appreciate it
Where'd you get the zero gapping tool from?
It comes with the skeletons
I zero gaped sum wahl walmart clippers but the cutting blade is so loose now. It falls out whenever I turned it on
You have to upgrade get the Temu fx1 with the real babyliss blade
No matter how many times I try, I keep doing them a bit too much and they keep cutting me. Any tips?
Use your thumb to push it down slightly like I do in the video. Look and make sure it’s slightly under zero gapped
Do the trimmers have to also be fully charge for them to hit good? Thanks
Not necessarily but obviously more battery can’t hurt!
@@Seancutshair ok
Where can I get ahold of the adjustment tool you used for your trimmers?
It comes with the fx
Mine is pulling the hair. Not as sharp as it use to be. I’ve only had it for six months. Is it time for a new blade?
I would adjust it again sometimes that’s all it takes to get it back hittin. If that doesn’t work may need a new blade
@@Seancutshair Thank you so much. I adjusted them a few times so I’ll just buy a blade and hope that’s the case. God bless! Keep the videos coming. ✌🏻❤️
Thanks a lot! instructions in the box are wrong. 10/10
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Every time I tighten it back up it ruins my zero gap and it gets slanted, and ideas to stop this?
Gotta keep held against the flat surface while you tighten
@@Seancutshair Yo thanks for the reply! Definitely helped some but after looking closer i noticed there is a defect with my tension spring , one side being longer than the other. So it keeps tilting after i use it but i will definitely apply this method going forward keep the vids coming!🤙🏼
After zero gapping , is the blade suppose to be able to move side to side?
The cutting blade will always move side to side. The still blade no
My clippers didnt come with gapping tool and checked the Babyliss website. Where else can I get the zero gap tool?
I’m not sure. Find a barber with multiple skeletons and they’ll have a few
Ok thanks for responding. I appreciate it!
🔥🔥👌🏾
what is an ash line at 2:56? I have some FX and appreciate this vid!!
It leaves a white ash mark on the skin. Lightly scratching the top layer of skin when they’re so sharp, but not cutting anyone
@@Seancutshair ok...ty! you are so helpful to us home hair cutters, and we sure appreciate it!! I'm always so afraid to get them too close to zero and cut someone...ty again Sean!
Had my trimmer for a while and dropped it had to buy a new blade but I lost the tool it came with, guess I gotta stay non zero gapped
Dang! Nobody around got one?!?
@@Seancutshair I cut from home I would need to go into a shop asking them if they got one haha
@@daily328i it's a 1.5 mm Allen wrench
Aye man I’ve been watching a lot lately, I’m 16 and want to know how to barber, any tips on how to start?
Get some clippers and find someone to cut!
Yeah ask a friend that trusts you
@@drexlerramos4780 Just seen this right now bro thanks
@@Seancutshair Just seen this right now preciate the respond
like the man said , im 17 also new and starting and i been cuttin and cuttin hair since last year and can i say man im living it
I got lucky I guess. Mines came zero gapped perfectly
They hit out the box! But if you need to adjust them now ya know!
Dose the tool come with every trimmer model
I believe so
Where do you get the tool from? Or does it come with the clipper set
It comes with the trimmer
Thanks
i try this to much times but my trimmer cut skin i dont know why ..
It’s too close need to check before you tighten and make sure you’re keeping it straight
@@Seancutshair its straight but but the blade is on the same level i push on the mirror ,if i push a little bit with my finger is ok ?
