Wonderful Voice Magdalena Kozena. Congratulations also, to Solo Horn with Magdalena, Oboé Solo and, Flute Solo. Perfect! Bravo Sir Simon and BerlinPhil. BRZ.
What a gorgeous couple, Mr Rattle and Mrs Kozena are!
When I hear criticism of Mahler I think of pieces like this. I almost feel sad for those who cannot hear the miracle that is Mahler. Harp, horns, violins playing an ostinato, lovely flute. I know people will disagree, but I thought of Bach in the b minor mass. All those movements with different combinations of instruments, 2 oboe, 2 flute, maybe a violin solo going, the great bassoon duet. Bach knew how to make different combinations of instruments fit with the text. Violin solos, horn solos, Mahler does the same here. Very sparse orchestration but so perfect.
Magnificent !!! Thanks for sharing.
Beaiutiful performance of a very beautiful song!
Hermosa voz.
Next time you come to Taiwan please bring Ms Kozena with you!
That's Jörg Brückner from the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra

Molto pregevole.
Jolie Oboe Solo!

I believe there is a mistake in the video description. I don't think Mozart ever wrote romantic poems :)

Mozart ? No, where did you read this ? In the video description is standing: "Gustav Mahler" !
:)
Meraviglia!❤
She is concentrating hard to extract as much expression as possible from the song. It is not just "pretty" !
Well said.
"Pretty" and "calming" don't get anywhere near what's being expressed here.
Sounds pretty. What's going on with her face? This is a very calm song.
It's called 'singing'.
Das ist unter Orchestern eine ganz übliche Hilfe, wenn es zu Personalengpässen kommt.
Yeah, they already fixed it. It was Mozart before :)
