We lived in Hilo for 3 years a few years ago. Thanks for stopping the lava flows for them! We lived thru an active lava flow, a direct hit from a hurricane and lots of rain. We preferred the Hilo side because it’s more rural and less commercial. Great food, nice people and plenty of seafood.
So great to see your visit to the Big Island. I lived there for a year back 1977-78. I could have stayed there forever. The man o wrays and dolphins tickled my heart.

We've been there twice and are returning to the Big Island in 2022 and 2023. The Big Island is our absolute favorite. You've hit a lot of the highlights so far. Enjoy the rest of your stay.

Just got back - This island draws you towards it . The jungle , weather , water Pebble Beach Two Step dives , caves , mountains , people ! Captain Cook sunsets . Good luck sleeping because its a full blown natural concert.
My husband and I went to the Big Island in 2019 for our 25th. It's awesome! We stayed in Airbnbs and circled the hole Island in 10days. It's like 4 different places/terrains on one island. We like it quite and simple, so we try to avoid resorts. We met and stayed with some great locals folks.. I'm glad you've enjoyed and got to go at a slower pace. We loved the coffee too.

I love Hawaii! I also spent 10 days on Molokai, that was like being in 1970, so very laid back. I'm really enjoying your trip through the islands, it is truly a great place to visit. Enjoy the rest!

We were in Kona the same time as you. We love the Big Island! One thing we found that was great - we rented a boat from Kona Boat Rentals and took it out snorkeling, fishing, and were able to follow several dolphins. It was great fun.

Love your channel! i took my wife to the same area to get the captain cook area about 10 years ago. loved the island and we had a blast. Keep doing the RV thing and tell the babies we love to see them on youtube.

We did a cruise of ALL the islands, and excursions on all the islands off the ship. It cost us a little over 10 thousand dollars, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. We had the most WONDERFUL time. We are planning on going back next year. LOVED your videos.

So glad you got to go to our favorite island…..we had a blast on this island and looks like you have too…….we did the helicopter tour on the Kona side of the water falls……it was incredible!!!!……. We rented a boat and drove it to the Capt. Cook area and snorkeled there……. Brings back those memories…..thank you!

I have been to Hawaii twice. Kawaii and Honolulu. My husband is a pilot. He worked for an airline so we got great discounts on the trips we went to Hawaii ♥️ He is retiring in about year, so we plan on traveling in a camper van seeing the our beautiful country! He wants to land in every 50 state in his or another plane. I want to travel around and follow him and camp in as many National Parks, State Parks….. Camp Host sites… I have been watching a lot of Utube adventures in people traveling! I love the info and all the places you and others travel to👍♥️

No worries they were not aggressive. It was a wonderful experience.
We were there on our honeymoon 31 years ago. we stayed on maui but puddled jumped to the big island for only a single day. We took a tour that hit the volcano natl park. We road down where we saw the lava pouring into the ocean seeing the steam rise (from a good distance) probably were you saw the youngest land on earth! Then we went to the lush and beautiful side with water falls. We wished we would have stayed on the big island for a few days out of our 10 short but glorious days. Hawaii in general was so laid back & so beautiful, we so would love to return!

I love the Big Island! That looks like a nice place to stay at. They didn’t have Airbnb’s when I went to Hawaii many years ago. Hawaii has the best sunsets. They are so gorgeous. Luau’s are fun to go to. Hula dancing is so pretty to watch.
Yes!!! We can tell you how much your family is loved and appreciated now!!! I started to cry when the hula dancer started dancing to a song I danced to in my hula classes as a little girl. I sure miss the islands. Time to go again!! This time I'm going to go to a new place to snorkel....never got out of Kona with snorkeling last time. And after we try vanlife here for awhile....I'd like to do that too!!
