How to Trill Like a Platypus

Would you like to trill & growl like a platypus? You may be able to make a quiet trill like a platypus by placing your tongue at the front of your mouth up near the top of your mouth and just behind your top front teeth. Then, you let a little air out over your tongue to vibrate your tongue, sort of like a repeating “r” sound. Whatever you do - stay quiet - a platypus is almost always quiet. A platypus looks like a combination of a beaver and a duck…really! They are mammals with a warm fur coat and a flat tail similar to the tail of a beaver, but they have webbed feet and a bill that you would expect on a duck. They lay eggs like ducks, too! They live around water, and they locate yummy worms with their eyes closed - wow - how do they do that? They use electroreception, a form of electricity!
