Granted, the tires DO slow the slash down marginally.. and yes, they certainly act "heavier" in the air. The rotating mass affects the ability for the slash to fly really far off of jumps.. but does it ever look BAD A$$! One thing I can say I really like.. is the stability. It really stays on 4 tires well.

As mentioned in the video above, I did break a stub axle during a previous bashing session.. but in this video.. I had NO PARTS BROKEN! I am shocked.. and I had a great time. I had my wife Jem come out and film a few parts of this video so we could give you some dynamic shots of this Radio Controlled truck in action!

What temp is too cold to RC.-10c. ? -5c
There's lots of plastic that's brittle.. If you upgrade to aluminum then you break the next more expensive part. 😆
There's Lots of ice and hard pack in Edmonton and don't want to destroy the new Revo.
Crazy Funny Cats Heh.. Ido my best to respond to people, but there are literally a thousand comments a day.. and that's just on CZcams ;) Depends on what you are RC'ing with.. I've been out in all temperatures, but you have to be careful with lipos freezing. To prevent that, you can go fast... but if you hit anything your RC will literally explode into 100 pieces of frozen plastic. For colder temps, I stick to Trail crawling.. and I take a few lipos with me. Lipos drain quicker in the cold temps.

+RCSparks Studio That is so true, I fly hexacopters in cold weather and get much shorter run times, only have nitro ground vehicles and I hate winter tuning plus the possibility of cracking the engine block in them so my other half of my hobby which is fast flying comes into play during winter months.
I wanted to thank you Medic for helping me choose my newest edition to my stable. I bought a new Slash 4x4 VXL with TSM. Been a great truck so far, and I have beat the snot out of it, and nothing has broken, yet. I really like how tough Traxxas products are, even when it's cold outside.
I'm going to update it with RPM products, and some new wheels and tires.

This video inspired me to put my stampede tires on my slash. Last night grazed a landscaping brick at speed an tore the back wheel right off it was awesome to watch. Lol. Truck came to a holt and tire flew rt up next to it. Time for an upgrade and those wheel and tire combo ya had on this video. Thanks Medic

Awesome, I splurged and bought this car recently and love it so far. I had an incident with my mailbox which snapped an A arm my first run haha. Put on aftermarket A arms and it's good so far. Love those tires!

So I am new to RC trucks, always been a foamy scratchbuild plane freak and now terrorizing the ground. Got my hands on a 4WD brushed Stampede for bashin and am lovin it!!! Well you didn't break anything this time. Nice job. I have some no name brand tires very close to those on my truck and I doesn't get hot one bit. I love the look and it grips like a beast! It will do wheelies now when stock just would spin.

when I put on my bigger tires everytime I would turn sharp enough it would just tip and roll over. and thoughts why
when you went for the backflip I screamed IRL and woke up the fam lol.
I put those tires on my Nitro Stampede many years ago. They have tremendous grip, especially on asphalt. So, talk about wheelies! I'm going to go back to the old stock tires so I can do burnout so again. :-)

So ive been thinking about doing the monster slash convertion. What do i need to do and watch out for i have the ultimate slash. And i wana go with my maxx tires 17mm hex o have fan for my esc and heat sink on my vxl system

that backwards jump was pretty sick!! i need to build me a jump like that i love to flip cars. i allmost got a front flip down with my emaxx but i keep braking it! you should give it a shot if you havent allready i bet you can pull it off!! killer bashing video cant believe nothing broke!

I love how you make videos for RC enthusiasts. Many other RC channels have way too much slow motion, and crappy mixed beats soundtracks. P.S. HOW did the plastic shock caps not pop off???!! Those popped on my Slash and Stampede from 5 minutes of 2-3 foot jumps.

Awesome video man. I just put the 2.8 trenchers on mine, love them. I had to get the mip x duty driveshafts bc i would break an axle every time i put a 3s in. Every time, within like 10 minutes lol. Question for you, whenever i go backwards my truck always turns full right, whenever i hit revers, did you kind of have to steer to avoid that or is that my truck doing that?

Hey man I am 13 and I got into rcs last year and my first truck was the tracks slash and I love it I put 2.8 trenchers on it and metal axial stubs and 2s lipo and cooling fans metal shocks different body u you inspired me so much to do this I would love to hang out with you someday And run some rcs I love your show. Dude that's awesome, I am running my 2wd slash vxl on 2.8 trenchers. Definitely a blast really helps the stability, although i am running a 20 tooth pinion rather than a 23.
I have an rustler vxl and I blow through drive shafts like crazy. Do you have any suggestions on good ones
This is a prime example of why I love my Slash. You can bash the bejesus out of it and keep goin!

Hey Medic, have you ever thought about making a loop?
I feel your pain about the plastic driveshaft... I went through at least a dozen of them before switching to steel MIP driveshafts. If you run on 3s or more they are a must have.

One way I tuck my battery wires down is by putting the ESC wire under the tie down, towards the front where the pin gets put in. I do this for my Stampede 4x4 because I used to have my Venom packs pop all the time. It also saves electrical tape. Hope this helps!

I love the videos am always look forward to the next. I have a question lol you bash the crap out of that truck. my question is do you think this truck can go bigger? as in the hight of ground clearance? I like the width of the truck an others I've seen an they seem to be very durable.
alan guthrie yes, you can up the ground clearance it's called a monster slash... there are meant bodies on how to do so, so check it out.

@zevi 2000. Any truck regardless of scale will tip more readily as the center of gravity gets higher. Thats why trucks have brakes, so they can slow down before entering a turn
On your slash with the 2.8's did you need to install the adjustable body mount kit or just use factory? I have the proline thrashers on mine and put the body mount kit on but it looks like a monster truck now haha. also do you have any recommendations for the high speed wobble?
