Man, this one hits hard. What a legend. One of those comedians where you wish the segment would just go on forever, such a magnetic person. I've always thought it odd that through his self-depreciating and often dark humor he conveys so much levity and joy. That's the work of a master alchemist: to transmute suffering and pain into it's polar opposite. Thank you Mr. Lewis for all the laughs over the years, there will never be another like you. RIP.

Richard might be a funnier interviewee than Larry David.
I think so too. The more I watch the Richard Lewis clips the more I realize he’s funnier than a Larry. He has so many great throw away lines, like on the Benadryl brownie he said she should get a dress made of turnips and blood to match her head haha he’s an outstanding comedian. He’s interview on the Rich Eisen show is even better than this because he doesn’t hold back as much.
And it only took five years for me to find this gem...thanks internets!
