Good vid mate, I highly recommend Trim-Fix high temperature Adhesive, it’s stable up to 120 degrees, otherwise come summer your dash will peel off in the sun.

If you put some wax on your screws - e.g. shoe polish - before tightening them down, it'll prevent any dragging and tearing of the leatherette as you tighten them down.
I'd also suggest using low tack wide masking tape when you're spraying the aerosol adhesive, as that stuff really does get everywhere and excess spray is a pain to remove.
Finally, the ashtray can be repurposed as invaluable small item storage. I often put screws in there when I'm doing other jobs on my Ninety.

Excellent. That would look very smart paired with the Raptor Engineering metal Binnacle.

I did my Series 3 in leather, quite easy. Any cracks or holes in the foam can be filled with spray foam and wrapped in plastic wrap until it cures, then shaved down with a razor.

Looks a lot better than when people re-trim the dash in alcantara. Yuk.

Looks great and really enjoying the videos I look forward to Tuesdays and seeing what the content is.
Just a thought on the gap where the ashtray was under the cover would it be worth if ever you take it off again to stick some of the spray glue on the underside and add some thin plastic cut to size for strength as it might sag in the summer when the heat is on it also it would then be strong enough if ever you wanted to fix something there in the future.

You can install a piece of sponge in the hole glued to the cover - works well and can't be seen.

You guys need to sell a kit for Series III's (early type and later type) because most are really badly cracked. I did mine, top and bottom, in Italian leather and it came out really well. A Defender kit won't work because the upper dashboard is much deeper.

Nice video, did something similar on my series a few years ago. Need to do the defender now... What about the lower dash? Is it something that LR parts will do also?

Should you not remove the old cover material?

You can't. It's bonded onto the foam moulding.

Which bits did I miss? Had hoped to make it a comprehensive how to.

If you can't figure it out from this vid, then maybe a Landy isn't right for you.
