So much power in those few lines. The way Russell Crowe said them, you feel the weight, the experience and the depth that those titles mean. He's seen a lot and this little pebble on the road that is the current emperor will not make him bow for he is not worthy of it.

As much as I feel Russell Crowe’s performance in this masterpiece was far beyond perfection, Joaquin Phoenix’s performance was just as incredible. Everyone hated his character, which ultimately means he did a brilliant job in playing his character, Commodus.
His line “I would butcher the whole world, if you would only have loved me” and the way he said it, the emotion, still amazes me to this day.

Joaquin Phoenix is the man! Yes he was perfect. He was also perfect in U-Turn and Walk the Line. Good call!
Apparently he was somewhat terrified during the film, but I really think that played into his character. The nerves, insecurity, and anxiety set him apart.

Joaquin Phoenix's performance as Commodus is EXCELLENT, Russell Crowe as Maximus Decimus Meridius stands out a lot, and how can we forget that young and beautiful Connie Nielsen as Lucilla? It is a beautiful movie, one of my favorites. Very good video, I have shed some tears of nostalgia.

What is so amazing about movies like this, is they remind us of events that happened hundreds of years ago in our history. Events that helped shaped our world of today. Yet as we look around us, we sadly see that so many of us have failed to learn from that history. We could be doing so much better.
I know just 3 of the best historical movies, those I`ve seen in my life (I`m 40 years old, thanks God). They are these ones - Gladiator, The 13th Warrior and Kingdom of Heaven. And the best of these best ones is UNEQUIVOCALLY - The GLADIATOR! !! I forgot about how many times I`d watched this incomparable Epic Movie. And I`m continuing watching It and will continue watching it always in sha Allah! Mister Ridley Scott was an incomparable Master. So is Russel Crow the best of actors for me. Once again, i have no idea where to start. I was expecting alot from this and i can say i got more than were my expectations. As i told you on instagram. This movie belongs to my most favorite ones and so it's this tribute. Since the beginning of the video, i was wondering how one man is capable of such a quality. Describe the whole movie in one video and once again you out did yourself brother. Personaly i am not a fan of long tributes, the problem lies more with me and my inspiration, but i always admired the people as you, who are able to tell the whole story in such a long length.
