  • Hello everyone and welcome back to my channel. Today I wanted to film a quick little tutorial on how to USB wire a Hot Toys lightsaber arm from the DX17 Darth Maul in replacement of using the button cell batteries. This method once learned, can be used for most of any other Hot Toys light up products that don't have USB and are requiring button cell batteries. This video is meant to show the concept, please perfect what I have done, I don't claim this to be perfect. I am still mastering this with every figure I do moving forward.

    I was about to place an order with fusion reactor but now I’m gonna try this myself looks easy enough

      I was in the same boat, I had all the supplies from previous project so the cost was next to nothing for me. If you have experience soldiering and heat shrinking connections it’s super simple. And when dealing with a figure that has multiple light points like cyborg for example gotta keep negative with negative and positive with positive it’s not hard either.

    I might attempt to do this

    Very cool thanks for making this! Like you said, “concept” video, million ideas in my head now 😈 should be able to make an actual pack without having to hard wire, in due time tho 🔥🔥

      Yup I don’t claim to have this perfected haha I’m making changes with each figure I do. I just completed cyborg and he’s my best yet when it comes to wires management and how I hooked it all up.

    Wanna do this for a 1/4 iron man but don’t wanna solder directly to the figure. Can’t I make a makeshift battery the width of the three cells and that will allow me to take them out if I want to?

    Sweet!... Cheaper than Soap Reactors!

    bro, what if it has multiple lights like the iron man figures, do u need to increase wire sizes or adjust anything?

    • @mr.momcollectibles
      @mr.momcollectibles  Před rokem

      You don’t need to increase the wire sizes but you do have to have multiple connection points that you can solder together as long as you keep black with black and red with Red you pretty much don’t have a problem or negative with negative and positive with positive that makes sense.will you would need for the Iron Man figures are resistors that will dial down the voltage so you don’t short circuit anything the biggest thing is maintaining the correct voltage. I do plan on doing an updated video shortly wiring an Iron Man figure with multiple connection points so someone can see how to do it.

      @@mr.momcollectiblesI'm gonna wait for that video then, so I won't burn my figures. Kindly detail it on your video please. I really appreciate it.

      @@lyradboado5163 absolutely I always had plans on doing at least 1 Iron Man figure with multiple points so now’s the time. No worries I will outline everything and links on where to buy materials.

      I listed the material in the description of the video. 28 gauge wire there’s a link
