    I have a 2017 X5 xDrive35i with both M Performance exhaust and M Performance Power kit retrofitted at dealership. Also upgraded to a metal charge pipe as preventive measure, everything else is stock. I'm pushing now well over 300hp but certainly less than 400hp with 93 octane. Last pieces would be a cold air intake cone and maybe a high flow cat converter since I'm I don't want to go catless but high flow cats are expensive.
    The MPPK and MPE combo does indeed sound phenomenal!

    Really good video! I also have a 2015 bmw X5 but in xdrive35d (DIESEL), with an egr, dpf, etc delete and a malone stage 2 tune. Makes about 335hp and 545lb-ft. Took it to the drag strip.
    0-60mph = similar around 5 seconds
    1/4mile = 13.995 seconds
    With it being a diesel, all that torque really throws it down off the line, all four tires screech, but it starts to get lazy on the top end.

    • @fast-life
      @fast-life  Před 6 měsíci +1

      yep the diesel gives you a good feeling in the beginning, but doesn't have the same power in high speeds, while the gasoline type feels like it's going faster and faster and faster. Both are unique though.

    • @fast-life
      @fast-life  Před rokem

      I installed RVG’s high flow dp on my f15 with no issues. I reused the same clamp but replaced the gasket. The only reason I went with the high flow dp is because of the exhaust smell. The smell is still there, but a lot less than buddies catless dp on his f15. Just something to keep in mind.

      Hi... great video... I keep coming back to it... one question if I may. Did you have any cylinder timing correction on your data zap graph in any of the tests?. I have an 2016 x35i, MHD 2+ XHP Stage 3 , RON 95 fuel, VRSF INTERCOOLER CHARGE PIPE CATLESS DOWNPIPE BOOST PIPE, 1 grade colder spark plugs, runs great, but I keep getting cylinder timing correction , occasional single misfire on live monitoring... i went back to stage 2 and still got the cylinder timing correction. The car runs smoothly, but I don't know why correction occurs.

      @stevencerda9126 I had a vrsf catless downpipe at first... the smell was strong, and eventually, my wife stopped riding with me in the car, so I changed to rvg Highflow downpipe, the smell is considerably less, and only noticeaafter a drag pull or some rough riding, but the sound is less unfortunately 😊.

    • @fast-life
      @fast-life  Před rokem

      if you go with MHD it will cost around $550 to have all the stages with monitoring. If you want to go direct stage 2+ since you have a catless dp, I would say around $430 (again MHD)

      when you floor it you see the difference, I think is the same when you drive it slow (don't have the numbers with me since the car is in my home country). Imo it is worth the less mpg for the increase in power.

    • @fast-life
      @fast-life  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Didn’t go that far. With a custom tune you can pull some more hp out of the car but it will stress more the engine, transmission and especially the differential (had to put a new differential on my 7 series b58)

    • @fast-life
      @fast-life  Před rokem

      for me 2+ is more fun because you put the catless downpipe, therefore more aggressive exhaust. But if you were on a location where you have to do emissions test, it would be a pain to put the catalytic converter back and remove it again. Keep in mind that for 2+ you would need to spend about $1k (intercooler - downpipe - map 2+)

    • @fast-life
      @fast-life  Před rokem +2

      I would choose the x5 between the two (six cylinder not v8), I have tried the jeep and for me the x5 is better. I would stay away from the v8 bmw though due to too many problems in the long run. I had a friend with v8 bmw n63tu engine (2014) in which the valve stems went bad around 50k miles, and I think bmw quoted him 3-4k to do the job. On the other hand I never had a problem with the i6 n55 engine. At some point around 100k miles you would have to replace the water pump (had to do it on my 535i and x5 35i) but that is a common service for the n55 engine. For a jeep I cannot give you any advice since I never had one, I have driven a couple but for me the interior quality of the German cars beats that of the American anytime. If I were you I would test drive both and see which one you like.
