EPIC Hike into SANTA ELENA CANYON | Big Bend National Park

Our last day in Big Bend National Park and what an amazing day it was. The kids earned their Junior Ranger Badges, we drove the long scenic drive to the Costolon Visitor Center and then on to Santa Elena Canyon. Santa Elena Canyon was breathtaking. We then hike into the canyon as far as you can go. It was our last hike in Big Bend and what a great one it was. Come along for our fun and adventurous day.

I think we were there in mid April and it was hot already. Swimming in the river is a great way to cool down. We also planned our hikes for early or late in the day. Thanks for watching!!

Epic? It is a 200 yard in and out hike...........The Window is much better and of course the 16 mile loop around the top of the mountain.

Hiking with a 4 and 7 year old it is epic. The canyon is epic. It's an amazing sight. It's also a 1.6 mile in and out hike with switchbacks.
