PART ONE: Isa's Story

Tina's life was forever changed after her daughter, Isa, lost her life to suicide in 2012. Tina and her husband, left shattered, would have never expected to lose their hilarious, smart, goofy, kind, creative, beautiful, young daughter to suicide. Tina and her family's grief took different forms but kindness and advocacy were collective ones. Now, a decade later, Tina details how she has made it her mission to share Isa's story and bring awareness to mental health issues, like suicide.
To help us bring awareness to this important topic, Tina graciously offered to sit down with Main Stay to share Isa's story, provide her advice to those struggling with mental health and details the incredible work that's being done at the Isa Kranz Foundation.
ABOUT THE ISA KRANZ FOUNDATION
The Isa Kranz Foundation was created in honor of our precious daughter who died from depression. Although Isa struggled with depression, she made the world around her a better place all the while. She made people smile and laugh, she had a special bond with all animals, she noticed when someone was having a hard day and she reached out to those who needed a hug or an invitation to join the group. We carry on Isa’s legacy of kindness by helping people and animals in need and by raising awareness about mental health and suicide. We never know what people are struggling with….so we promote compassion and kindness wherever we go.
