I'm from the north of Alberta. I have to say, that mayor is pretty well the worst in Alberta's entirety. If your citizens don't want something, it is your duty to abide by their votes and concerns. How about we start by having Canadian born leaders!
Gondek clearly cares more about her agenda than she does the majority of Calgarians who don’t want this to pass. Watching the discussions those presenting arguments pro were young people who had pretty much the same vocabulary in their speeches….almost like they had been coached. The against side had facts and research to back up their arguments vs the feelings presented by the pro side.
It's going to strain infrastructure. Instead, there needs to be more incentives for companies to move to less populated areas (,except farmland). People who get subsidized housing should be offered relocation assistance to go to cheaper, less populated areas. It will be less safe for families if there are multiple strange adults in accessory dwellings. This is Agenda 2030 and World Economic Forum ideas to pack people into high density areas and rewild 50% of the country, including areas far enough south to be tolerable.
These puppets are destroying this beautiful city!

Homeowners need a well funded political action group to lobby for them.
How about citizens doing their homework and getting informed. Lobby groups cost money. Look at the amount of citizens that actually voted. That needs to change.

A big problem with labour is not forcing able working people off the welfare system. Wish Canada 🇨🇦 would put a 2 year maximum on social assistance benefits which would allow people chance to train into a skill and not live for generations off the welfare benefits.
Government would save a fortune if they hired workers who could investigate into the many people who abuse the system and cheat it. Wouldn’t require a new program, piggy back off the one used for ppl collecting unemployment benefits

The family has lived in calgary since before 1900 and I grew up in the 60's before the eviseration of old neighbourhoods and thank god everyday that I was smart enough to leave for the Okanagan in 1980
