Each day is structured to help you grow as a person and equip you with tools to thrive as a contemporary Catholic. And each day, you'll fall more and more in love with our faith and a little way of St. Thérèse of Lisieux.
Hi, my name is Ryan Mallett, and as someone who has taken two years of formation at the school, I'd like to briefly share what a day in the life of a St. Therese student typically looks like.
The first official event of a student's day is morning prayer, followed by personal prayer. Here, students pray the Liturgy of the Hours as a community, then disperse and continue to pray on their own.
Students then head to the local parish to participate in daily Mass, which is an absolute gift for the students every single morning.
Following Mass, students share breakfast together and then, depending on the day of the week, they might start with some praise and worship or simply dive straight into academics. If you'd like to learn more about the courses offered, please visit sttherese.ca.
Following their morning class or study period students have lunch. All the meals are made in-house by our lovely cooks, so that students don't need to worry about cooking for themselves.
After lunch, students do chores as a way of integrating what they've been learning into the everyday lives. And it's during this time when some of the best memories are made and the most important lessons are learned.
Students then have the opportunity for in-house adoration. Then they'll continue with their studies throughout the afternoon until it's time for recreation and community leisure.
Rec time is followed by supper, supper by post-meal chores, and chores followed by community rosary.
Then the evening is most often a study period, but that can vary depending on the day of the week between movies, community socials or activities, men's and women's nights, and more.
And there you have it. That's the typical daily structure at St. Therese Institute.

    (Okay, I'm done.)
