- Hi! At the beginning of June 2024, I travelled to Denmark with my husband and some friends. We spent 3 days in Copenhagen and Odense. We visited the main tourist attractions such as Nyhavn, Christianborg Palace, Frederik's Church and other places.
I also visited some of the places related to the life of Hans Christian Andersen, the famous fairy tale writer who wrote stories such as The Ugly Duckling, The Little Mermaid and The Snow Queen.

Yes, the little Mermaid might be overrated. But for fans of the novel or the movie, it might be nice to see her. But we can't say it is “oversold”, it is called the LITTLE Mermaid. I would say, if you don't have any interest in H.C. Andersen, the movie or the fairy tail, don't bother going here.
I actually live very close to Odense.

Hi! How cool that you are from Copenhagen! I also don't know why the Little Mermaid statue is so hyped, there are so many other cool things to see and discover besides its. 😊
And a fun fact: some friends warned me that the statue of the little mermaid was very small, and that I shouldn't have any expectations. So I thought it was really small. In the end, it was taller than I imagined 😅
