My buddy bought a 73 Z when we were teenagers back in the early 80's it was a little beat up but we went to every kegger in Denver with it for the entire decade lol. Somehow he's managed to hang onto it all these years. I'll bet it's worth a few bucks now.
Out of all of these, I'd take the '67 2000 Roadster. That is awesome.

The original 2000 roadster U20 engine would be very capable of making 250hp with a turbo.
My friend has the 1971 it's in parts but it's all real all the same car it's almost together.
The little 67 red roadster 2000 was my fave of this group by far. Nice restomod!

1967 2000 Roadster took the whole video! Although that Scarab ran a pretty close second, only because a friend had one. They did handle like poopy though with all that weight up front!
no offence but the difference between a "L24" 240Z motor and say an LS1 V8 is about 5 pounds...now add in a T5 trans for the V8 and the stock 4 speed for the 240Z and the difference grows to about 30 pounds..point is 30 pounds is not really going to affect the handling. You are doubling the power in the car though, and need to allow for that when doing your rear end mods to handle the power AND just as important your suspension mods...for handling. and traction control.

I've owned the 240 , 260 , 280 , 280zx , was not a fan of the 300z . And stopped at 280zx . The 300zx looked like a wedgie car . Went to Mercedes SLK . Still miss my z cars
Loved my ‘79 280zx. However the best car I ever owned was the 1990 300zx. It was perfect combo of sport, speed, luxury, and comfort. Wish I kept them.
Yea , I feel what you're saying. Mine was the 240z . Fast , nimble for the time good on gas . Drove from PA to Florida a half a dozen times.

The anniversary editions from the seventies through the early nineties just drove me crazy.
Stick on a little bit of adhesive tape, Make the customer pay for every option, No engine or suspension upgrades whatsoever and jack the price through the roof.
That second 280z Is impressive but. The original lines of that design are so beautiful that any modification simply adds diminishment to the looks.
Do you know there is a Nissan (Datsun) 160Z? It was a south africa only Z car based on the B210 chassis (coupe).
