I use this one as a throwable AOE Bomb and it's just insane man.
I was happy to see that i actually had a built Glaive Prime when i returned to Warframe a couple months ago.
I didn't use a bouncy build (for corridors) so far but i really want to.
But the AOE Bomb Glaive Prime with a primer like the Epitaph just goes nuclear.. literally NUCLEAR.
Basically easy mode, carried you through the entire game pretty much.
Only thing to be aware of, at least for console players, it can be quiete uncomfortable to use.
You need to play around with a couple key-bindings or the "use fire button for melee attacks".
Hey great overview on this! Really hope they make it obtainable again! Those prices are insane lol.
Btw im a more recent viewer, discovered you about 2 months ago, and your videos I have to say have been great. It's taught me a lot! So thank you for that.
Also I have been really enjoying your eidolon hunts! They got me interested in eidolon hunting and the process of learning to hunt them has been very rewarding.
Quick tip I didn't hear or missed in the guide.
You can wait until the hit registers and then quickly detonate it for extra damage 🔥🔥
What I like most about the Glaive Prime is that it keeps the riven disposition on my Cerata high. 😁
But it does highlight one of the main pillars of Warframe; people copying level cap builds because it'll nuke their base SP missions, when most things, if built somewhat correctly, will nuke base SP. Often better, since they don't need to rely on lingering damage and annoying faction mods.
Cerata is AWESOME, and I don't even have a riven for it yet. Agreed that people overestimate the need for dps outside endurance too, you can get away with higher kps potential, especially with all the buffs going around nowadays.
With Banshee, I often just tap-spam the Phantasma's bombs with Breach Surge for maximum homing spam, mostly aiming for eximi with main explosion, quick
This. People overrate the glaive heavily.
Yea, i have a cc, cd, corpus dmg and -status chance riven and my cerata hits insane numbers
@@sprinngam2536 One of the not that many weapons I'll gladly take such a faction modifier on
@@Gnurklesquimp2 i have a faction mod implemented in my riven while cerata having forced toxin procs on heavy attacks makes this melee the perfect corpus weapon since toxin ignores shields
As Wisp main, i got my hands on Glaive Prime at around 18 rank. And to be honest, the only downside of this weapon, you easily can become addicted to it. It was so painfull to play with other melee XD
Cool video, hope your channel will grow fast!
For me a friend of me was sitting on some vaulted relics so we open them and got the glaive bp, after few months of just staring at it decided to buy the rest since i had the expensive part that was 50% of the total cost of the set, so i did built it took me a bit to master it since the only time i used a glaive was in the protocol quest with the xoris, but holy shit the damage is absurd its like a reusable mini nuke and the fact fact you can pair dual wield it with a secondary like the epitaph or the kuva nukor just amplifies its dps potential.
I got this not long before the glaive rework was announced (which was after it was vaulted if I remember correctly) because I had a random feeling that it was going to get a good buff. And damn am I proud of that disision
Obligatory comment to help the channel. Thanks for all of your hard work :)
Yes
Glaive prime is strong, if you already own it, great enjoy it. But if you don't have it, so trust me don't buy it with platinum unless you want to hit LR3 or doing some crazy endgame content like lvlcap disruption, 360p is too much, there are tons of weapons that can do the same thing like cerata, xoris... (all of them can oneshot acolytes, nuke the steel path mission and they are all free), Talking about nuking the map, Warframe and primary weapon can nuke the whole map much much faster than Glaive prime (unless its lv9999). After all, i think that Glaive prime will come to Prime resurgence soon, we haven't seen it for so long, wait for a bit, you will get it by farming it your own
It's great but takes forever to kill....
I agree, glaive prime is great but that does not mean the other melee weapons are weak, with the right mods you can use it in steel path and there are not that many players who go level cap
Never underestimate the ability of a warframe player (me) to make poor financial decisions in the name of fashion
@@deputydevil6839just dumped 300p on it, no regrets (I cry myself to sleep)
@@banbrotherhoodlucky I paid 400p and revenant prime set for it😢
I love the glaive prime i just desperately wish they could take another shot at the glaives with a update with how clunky there stances are, desperate need for more skins, lack of a actualy melee heavy attack so we can choise how to use our combo points up close or the throw aoe, and we need another glaive that can bleed on throw just so the glaive prime rivens can chill out with some diversity, i have been praying and begging for zaws to come back being able to craft glaive parts and we get to chose the elements for its melee and throw separately that would just be a dream for me let zaws rise again !
i use it almost too much because it doesnt need combo and just clears the whole room with 1 throw, i got a decent riven for it with initial combo, dmg, crit dmg and - dmg to corpus which doesnt matter because cereta is also a thing.
As someone who has never seen an enemy with a four digit level outside the circuit, I think exodia contagion zaws work well enough as an alternative that I don't care about owning a glaive prime. When it comes to prime access? Sure. Not spending 300p on it though.
+ you can use eclipse to scale Contagion to ridiculous levels, since it double-dips. Contagion is the melee I have most kills with, also without eclipse at normal levels. It's so much more fluid, even with a slow zaw you can roll out of the animation very early on and still have the projectile come out.
I think it should also work with some abilities like Wil-o-Wisp, which I also use to cancel gunblade animations while being invincible, great as using them ruins mobility.
Not so long ago i was maining Glaive prime, use it for very long time with a godroll i managed to get very early, i could one shot sp enemies, even the acolytes too beacause of slash procs, but at some point it wasnt enough and it was very slow, even with a lot of attack speed and heavy atk speed. Its worth to invest on it, i rlly recommend to get it, but before the glaive maybe give it a try the inacrnon weapons in the circuit
Power throw is a bit inconsistent. You have to get perfect throws and honesty most things don't survive the initial attack anyway. I'd reccomend gladiator might instead for consistent bonus critical damage.
Good vid. You could also cover cerata as a budget alternative thats good for corpus.
A fellow Redditor I assume. ;)
Glaive Prime is just great. Oh and btw, the Bane mod is stronger than x1,55 as it double dips on bleeds. As I'm sure you know. Just wasn't mentioned in the vid.
This weapon, and hell most Glaives in fact, went from beyond horrible to this godtier with a single patch rework a few years ago. And they've not been touched since other than I THINK removing Explosion being able to do Headshot Damage if detonated ober enemies' heads.
I never use the glaive prime because of thinking its a simple meta weapon. After using it I can see it being a favorite and it is awesome to play it, just I dont wanna overuse it to lessened the fun of it and its fine. Its still a great weapon
The Cerata is fun too, if you're stripping armor everywhere already.
It has lower dmg/crit/status, but it comes with a guaranteed TOXIN proc instead, same AoE with zero falloff just like Glaive Prime.
Has very high riven dispo, so I might grab one down the line. Iirc it's very easy and cheap to craft too!
@@Gnurklesquimp2 now THIS. This is my favorite Glaive and I feel ya. Cerata underrated but now known for corpus clean ups, plus I was glad I got a riven on it for extra CRIT chance on heavy attacks.
@@Yewrenegade Oooh, crit chance is the #1 stat to get imo, and the only one that doesn't feel at least a bit excessive, nice one
The Glaive Prime is my handy dandy "Heal Nuke". Just throw & heavy attack & bam, you're good to go. (With Life strike)
Does a mod like Sacrificial Pressure work on this weapon? or does it not add to the throw dmg?
If you are referring to the additional damage against sentient units then yes it would add to that, however even with both sac. pressure and sac. steel on, Primed Pressure Point still does more damage than sac pressure (even when you take into account the added 50% crit chance you get on Sac. steel from having the set)
I bought x 50plat just the day It was buffed so much :)
Bought for 300p, do I regret it? A Little bit yes cuz its freaking expensive, but then again whats the use of plat if I dont buy the stuff I like.
It’s crazy that they now have eximus slots and arcanes remember when melee weapons didn’t have this?
I remember everything xD
I must get the wolf hammer since it’s basically a glaive prime with more steroids
They nerfed it doesn’t keep its combo after heavy attack
@sinful39 Which makes zero difference to how effective it is.
Forced Slash Proc on Detonation.
Need I say more?
I spent 395 plat (cheapest price on market at the time i bought it) and i have no regerts, it makes steelpath an absolute joke and made my transition from regular starchart into early steelpath super smooth and easy
Is pathocyst a good glaive? It has forced viral proc right?
Pathocyst is okay, but the forced viral proc will fall of very fast, as opposed to forced slash :>
I used to play when it first came out. Turns out i have 6 blades and 4 discs. Looks like im getting a fat stack of plat
After using the zaw before getting my glaive prime build today does leave a bit of buyers remorse. Feels exactly the same but worse. I’ve yet to hit 81.3m with my glaive
Remember it's not about the initial hit damage, it's about the bleed procs :) - it becomes more and more useful as enemy ranks go up (as their armor means nothing)
Do yall use Power Throw? I swapped it out for a crit damage mod. The 60% one
not often i use it but glad might is just more consisstant
@@noahedenborg4221 Indeed. I swapped power throw for that mod specifically. Perhaps for low levels, the punch through can be useful or fun. Like cutting the grass.
Thanks for responding, I've felt weird about this decision since making it, but i feel it was a good choice
@@mateocortanage well for lower lvls u can sue xoris since it has the biggest aoe from the explosion about 10 meters
Why glaive prime? Not needed to build up combo manually + range aoe, and guaranteed bleeds.
Two words: Riven Prices
Me who got a busted riven and the whole weapon for 300 or 200 plat ( total ) back when no one liked the weapon and only me who liked it
Do you think the Glaive will receive a nerf?
It will, but I don't believe it will be coming anytime soon - the developers seem concerned with other matters at the moment. Once they take a good look at usage stats they might start seeing a pattern and decide to act, but for now I think it'll stay as is. If they do nerf it, it will come in the form of how the slash procs interact with the heavy attack on throw.
Do level cap loadouts
why u can bassicly use anything
Glaive Prime is my default melee, I haven't found anything else that can take its place as a DPS melee. It's just and forget, and if my other weapons aren't working, I run out of ammo/ energy, or I run into other trouble it's there as a backup 80% of the time.
i bought like 220 plat year ago
Simple Answer: Forced slash procs.
Acolyte go bye-bye
i can do somewhat the same with cerata xd
@Jacsonitos a lot of people don't know this but the huge damage boost on this build is not the combo multiplier from corrupt charge, it actually is the 300% thrown damage that applies to the heavy attack that comes from Power Throw, what power throw stacks is not the punch through, is the thrown damage, and as an example, without it, you might deal 100k bleed, and when fully stack you could be doing 300% that.
One day DE will "fix" this and we will see it again on how people going nuts when DE did "fix" wukong/clone specter ammo and AOE weapon ammo
2 reasons 1 aoe 2 force proc bleed
Nice video but you could change something on this build for constant damage just put that mod that does 100% damage and less attack Speed (Attack Speed stay the same) better then Power throw💪😁
Spoilet Stricke it was I guess
are you sure it is better? Power throw gives you 3 stacks meaning 300% damage while spoiled strike gives you just 100% damage
power throw is infinitely better than spoiled strike
Yup
@@jacsonitos5420 sorry then I didnt understand the Mod thx for explain
Only one good use of glaive prime for me disruption targets at steel path just so i can be lazy. Other than that this weapons is mr fodder to me too overpriced and just boring to play with. I do level cap on duviri which buffs melee to absurd dmg and playing level cap isnt really my style so if you dont have this weapon your not missing out on much theres way stronger choices for doing base steek path than waiting for slash dots to kill enemies such as akolites while u can just wreck them with guns. Weapons pretty much a plat dumphole and mr fodder to me lol.
Imagine a Bramma with infinite ammo, hunter munitions proc'd 100% of the time instead of 30%, and the explosion had 0% damage falloff instead of 90%. This theoretical weapon? Eh, mr fodder.
Like what? Bro, you aren't like, cooler for being contrarian about it. It's the top dog melee weapon that commands top dollar plat prices. It's that popular and that expensive for a reason. And that reason definitely isn't "mr fodder" jfc
It’s gonna be funny when DE nerfs it. Someone’s gonna have to call the waambulance for all the crybabies lol
So why glaive prime over glaive? With a good riven the dispo difference might mean the glaive is just as good though...
Normal glaive doesn't force slash procs like the prime does. So it's total garbage in comparison.
@@Vi74LiTy Thanks. Damn. That's stupid. One would think normal glaive forces slash procs...
@@endofunctors9184 you would think. and it's the fact it doesn't that helps contribute to glaive prime's insane popularity and price. You can't just skip by with the less fancy version in this case, which is a shame
@@Vi74LiTy They should just make the glaive do the same. Watch the prime just drop like a rock in price. The people with ~300 glaive prime sets drip-feeding the market would at least be compelled to drip feed less.
And the cerata is still better.
for corpus both have there uses
