  • Imagine you could supercharge your dental career by learning from 20,000+ dentists instead of just a few. Dr. Paul Goodman founded and moderates the Dental Nachos Facebook group of more than 30,000 members, the majority of which are dentists. In this video, I talk to Paul about the mega trends he sees and the learnings he's gathered having studied the behaviors and outcomes of all these dentists.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share, Joel and I love how you condensed my content from 60 minutes to 12 minutes. My wife (Mrs. Nacho) would like to know if you offer that service to anyone else :).

Thanks for talking, lots of guac in this conversation. I haven’t yet found a way to transfer the skill set off of CZcams. If I could, I’d be the first customer.

Great video once again Joel. Speaking of biceps curls, it looks like you’re hitting the weights yourself. 💪🏾

I agree, PPO is a crisis in the States. Glad it isn't prevalent in Canada yet. Forced to get paid 50-60% of your regular fees just have patients come through the door is insane. Also an insane idea that sometimes it's more profitable to not have the patient come in at all but still be "in-network" with that patient.

Amazing video finally i see people in my profession talking about this ...im still amazed why universities charge so much for course and still dont teach you a penny about practice management

@@jmey I wish universities could design courses wherein they would open multiple practices in society that could be run by students as practice owners. Like an in-field internship ...where we could learn from accounting to team management ...this will create positivity among the next generation of dentists...because definitely, it's going to be more challenging for them.

Very true on the CE discussion of business vs skills training. I took a few hundred hours of CE in my third and fourth years of dental between schooling instead of vacation; it helped a lot with skill understanding. But once you’re out of school, not learning more about the business and social patient interaction side is something that can really cost you down the road. Great video and great advice.
