I'm a farmer from Nebraska and I approve this message. Also, This is Nebraska IRL.
Side fact, assuming his harvest amount has a test weight of the standard 56 lbs/ bu. Than his load on the combine would be 162,736.6 tons. That's more than an aircraft carrier. However, the largest super tankers are capable of transporting that much.
Also, side note. 5.8 million bu isn't actually all that much. In 2016 the US produced 15.15 billion bushels of corn. Depending on how many acres were planted on this map, if we assumed his yield was 200bu./ acre, than he farmed 29,060 acres or approximately 45.4 sq miles. Sure wish I could farm the entire county in about 5 seconds.... XD lol.
Likewise, the price he received (83 cents/ bu) while grossly undervalued sure feels like what we are paid per bushel!!! =(
