    Juvenile is going on tour while celebrating the anniversary of his top album. He was also recently featured on the Tiny Desk series and he has his own drink line.

      @@steveo1483but Wayne wasn’t lol. Plus 20s isn’t *quite* growing into adulthood… if you’ve been paying attention to the rappers dying before 30. It is a blessing to see him and other rappers grow into fully realized adulthood where that frontal lobe is more developed.

      Damn, that’s crazy. I vividly remember going to Blockbuster Music in the lil strip mall with Winn Dixie on Tchoupitoulas one Friday night in ‘98 and spending my allowance money on that 400 Degreez. I was 10 years old.
      I was bout to get the original copy and this lil young white chick who worked there told me about the new version with the Ha remixes on it, so I copped that one… and then copped it bout three more times from wearing the tape out 😂😭

    When he mentioned that his family owned all that property it reminded me of something we rarely talk about. Unlike a lot of other inner cities; prior to Katrina a lot of our grandparents actually owned their homes uptown and downtown. I have close friends whose family's damn near owned half the block because their grandparents and great aunts/uncles all owned houses in the same neighborhood. Social media wasn't a thing back then so the conversations about building wealth weren't happening the way they are now. It's unfortunate that so much of that equity was lost.

      Here in Southern Maryland you go on streets and all the homes are Black owned, not too many renters except in apartments or senior homes

    As cliche as it might sound, I really appreciate how Mr. Paulsen did this. He talked about Juvenile's tour, and even mentioned "Back that thang up" with tact. And he closed it responsibly. Mr. Gray and Mr. Paulsen, I enjoyed this 👊🏾

    Man is a living legend 400 degreez is a 5 mic album.. a instant classic. He will never be forgotten it’s one of the best albums ever made. Also to come from the south and do that. Is another major accomplishment. Typically east coast artist make 5 mic albums there have been some in the west. Snoop Dre those are big names. Legends in the game. Juvie wrote his names in the history books right along with them.. respect to this man

    You love to see those types of stories. The fact that the reporter didn't judge or have stereotypes about Juvie, made this piece even more enjoyable. You could tell the energy was genuine on both sides.

    ❤ Please let Juvenile know that, I'm a New Orleans native now living in San Antonio, Texas.... His "Back dat Thang up!" Is #1 out here on the radio. They play his song at least 4 -5 times a day if not more 🔥 BTW: my son is 27yrs old and still remembers meeting Juvenile in Churches Chicken on Louisiana avenue at the age of 4 and Juvenile held him 😊 Congratulations on all of his success 🙏🏼
