This man just made blender look easy. Respect!
Thank you so much glad you like it! :)
He said it took 3 weeks to get 5 seconds!
Lewis disappears when we need him most
The way you animated that emisive design was incredible would like more of an indepth tutorail on that for sure! Great job!
Thank you so much! :)
@@lewisanimation would love to see that as well!
@@lewisanimation i wanna see that too!
yes i really liked that part man. can u make video about that.. looks fire!
@@lewisanimation We need a tutorial!
that's what a generalist means
Completely awesome. Big budget feature film grade for sure!
Man I don’t even know blender this much in depth but
THIS FIVE MINUTES.. just five!! Taught me like so much even though this isn’t a tutorial
And I was am amazed to see the end result of all the boss fight renders
This one’s my favourite
Thank you so much! Really glad you found the video helpful :)
I really love your method of creating a matte painting. It looks so good yet its less time consuming than modeling.
Absolutely stunning! I ended up not having time to work much on my animation and couldn't finish it on time, so I'm thinking about turning it into something slightly different, but this is a wonderful example of where smart work within set boundaries can get you!
Thank you so much! Like most projects it was certainly still getting more and more rushed as the deadline approached :)
Just starting my Blender jouney but this is an INCREDIBLE inspiration. Amazing work.
Thank you so much! Good luck on your Blender journey, it's one of the best decisions I ever made and I hope it is for you too :)
What a good breakdown! so clear, so statifying to watch. And a beautiful result aswell! Please do continue these types of video's, with voice over and showing your process.
Thank you so much I really appreciate it :) More videos like this on the way!
Dude, that looks amazing/mindblowing/excellent/awesome/woderful - and many many other synonyms! I couldn't even imagine how much experience man should have to literally repeat the entire production pipeline used in big studios with many different kinds of professionals. And not only repeat but do it successfully and get awesome result at the end. I can definitely tell you - "My dream is to be able to do the same stuff".
Thank you so much I really appreciate it! Most of the techniques used are from youtube tutorials so it's really the Blender community I have to thank for sharing the knowledge. Good luck on your 3D journey and thank you for the comment :)
That's just epic. it's amazing!
Thank you very much! :)
My goodness this was amazing! Thanks for the breakdown and well done.

@@lewisanimation bro, keep going strong! I wish I had enough motivation to learn more of this :)
@@Chilloveque It's mainly just consistency over time and you'll get there! Most of this was learnt from CZcams tutorials, it just takes a bit of time to get there! :)
This art of making realistical vfx is so phenomenal. It motivated me alot. Thank you so much❤🎉
Amazing!! I'm really happy to hear that :)
Impressive job. But what excited me the most is the animation and the glow effect of the clothes. Just awesome! I have to try this.
Thank you! Glad you liked it, I hope it goes well for you :)

2 things I love about this: The cloth sim and the emissive pattern design
Amazing! Glad you like it :)
That clothing on the character with the appearing symbols is dope!
Thank you! Glad you like it :)
So many techniques we got aware, days of work explained in 5 minutes, thanks for making this breakdown video...
Happy to help! Thank you for watching :)
I've just started trying to learn Blender and 3D animation like, last week, and stuff like this is what I want to ultimately create. It's easy to see how much I have to learn!
Most of the techniques were learnt from CZcams tutorials so there's a lot of info out there for Blender! Just takes some time and consistency :)
This is amazing as always!
Thank you very much! :)
Incredible work. Keep it going! 🤘🏻
Thank you so much will do! :)

Always loved your videos. It's just a different style, like the Lewis style.
Thank you so much! That's exactly what I've been trying to do so I'm very happy you think so :)
Amazing breakdown, thanks for this.
Thank you :) Glad you like it!
Amazing work, I'm surprised that you didn't get to the top 100. You have such a good workflow and a good optimization of the scene, thanks for the breakdown, I'm going to try your workflow next time
Thank you so much really glad you like it :) I hope this workflow goes well for you!
@horoscin please where can I find the top 100?
Amazing! Thanks for sharing!
You're very welcome! :)
Perfect !
Thank you!
Wow, I need a whole real-time workflow tutorial of this! That was insane! Great job!
Thank you very much! :)
This is honestly amazing work and I love how thoroughly you've broken it down here to show that even a super complex looking scene like this is actually created by a LOT of fairly simple techniques, just combined very well.
Thank you so much! Exactly most people already have a lot of the skills it's just learning how to combine them :)
Seeing amazing work like this almost makes me want to give up 3D art, because I know I'll never be this good
Please don't give up! Getting to this stage has taken years of work and a lot of things went wrong along the way. A shot like this also takes a very long time to make too so definitely don't compare your current ability to it. It just takes some time to find your own niche and what you're good at and that you enjoy :)
@@lewisanimation Thank you for the advice.😀
Awesome!

amazing dude ❤
Thank you!
Very inspirational and useful video, I'm happy youtube recommended you
Thank you :) Glad you enjoyed!
Awesome work!
Thank you so much! :)
thank you, i learned so much from this breakdown.
one thing miss is staging. the dragon move and the cloth's glowing effect happened in the same time. we focus on the dragon and didn't see the cloth at the first glance.
I hope you can make another awesome next time!
Thank you very much! And I completely agree, the effects would look a lot better being able to focus on one part then the other, it would've probably overall worked better in a small sequence instead of one shot. Thank you for your feedback :)
You’re insane 👍👍👍
:)
Love this! You just got a sub.
Thank you so much! Welcome to the channel :)
God bless you awesome Artist ❤

@@lewisanimation of course!
This is epic!! I hope I will someday learn how to make amazing works of art like this in Blender! It's a long learning process, but I'm willing to put in the time and effort! 😁
Thank you so much! That's a really great approach to have, most of this was learnt from CZcams tutorials so the info is out there, it just takes time and consistency. Really good luck on your Blender journey! :)
THANK YOUUUUUU!!!!! I wanted to model a creature for my story, and i couldn't find the thing that works for bones... NOW, CAUSE OF YOU, I KNOW. I LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUUU THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCHHHH
Amazing! Really happy to help, good luck with your creature story! :)

CRAZY GOOD

I just started today making the Blender Guru's Doughnut and im picking it up quite fast. this inspires me to keep making my cylinder sprinkles xD watching this is amazing. great work!
Amazing! Learning Blender was one of the best decisions of my life and I hope it turns out the same for you, I wish you luck on your new journey! Really glad you enjoyed the video :)
@@lewisanimation Thank you! it really is a great pleasure when you create something from start to finish! WHAT to create next! haha
ah man this is great! Would love to see more in depth on your multi-res workflow, that's a part of blender I feel like I rarely see touched...
Thank you :) I'll see if I can include more info on it in future videos. Most of it is just doing a base high res sculpt, retopologizing that mesh to make it low res, adding a multi-res to the retopology subdividing it a few times, then add a shrinkwrap modifier targeting the high res sculpt, then apply it and it puts that detail onto the multi-res layer, so you've now got an animatable mesh with detail kept in the modifier. Then to texture it I UV unwrap the low res mesh, duplicate it and apply the modifier on the duplicate so I'm texturing on a high res model but the textures still work on the original with the multi res
@@lewisanimationyour videos motivated me to learn animation, can you tell me how much time do I need to learn animation like you ? I was working as judge so I need to manage time to learn animation.
Edit: hope you will answer to me
@@KPCStudioOfficial Amazing to hear you've liked my videos! Animation is a really great thing to learn :) So I've been learning Blender for about 3.5 years now. It depends on what type of animations you want to make as to how long it will take. It's taken a while for me because I want to create quite complex scenes, but you may find your niche sooner. It definitely is a years long process to develop the skills to a high level and to find your own style, but I will always say that it's worth it!
I'm surprised this didn't make top 100, but I believe I know why - it's likely because the story doesn't develop much. I suspect if some kind of magic beam or shield came out of the staff it would have been enough to carry this into perfection and it also would have balanced out the color and lighting values from the near monochromatic color scheme it currently is. As it is now, both characters essentially just strike a both and nothing happens. I get that the fire in the dragons mouth and the symbols on the witches back light up, but that doesn't quite suggest enough on what is about to happen. incredible work overall, great explanation of modelling tools and techniques
Thank you for your feedback! You're spot on with it, the original plan was to add fire being blocked by some kind of magic shield, but my PC was really struggling with embergen and I ran out of time to work something out! I agree it would've worked super well with a contrasting colour magic effect. Thank you for spending the time I appreciate the comment :)
Amazing work. Very informative. I'm feeling very inspired after watching this. please can you give us your next tutorials in depth?
I’m proud of you ❤️🙌🏽🙌🏽
Your comment made me very happy, thank you :)
There's no way this didn't make it to the top 100 in the boss fight challenge I just watched the video and your render was not there howw its so good
Thank you so much! I do think there's a lot of story elements and extra effects that I wanted to add that could've taken it to the next level :)
u r really good at detailism and layers and baby steps ,shot progression in minimalistic way.still though i noticed between bg and mg there was a gap which made the bg matte painting noticable .u should create one more mg there
Thank you so much! And I completely agree, would've been cool to help create more depth. Thanks for the feedback! :)
amazing
Thank you!
