How to plaster your mosaic artwork

    Thank you for participating to one of my workshops. Let me explain how to grout your mosaic artwork. First of all, you need to mix the plaster with 50ml of water. And then wait till it becomes like yogurt. Waiting time depends on the room or water temperature. When the density becomes like a greek yogurt, you can start to apply it onto the surface. Please make sure you cover everywhere on your lamp or candle holder. After that wait 3 minutes, and use a dishwashing sponge to clean the surface gently.     Merci d'avoir participé à l'un de mes ateliers. Laissez-moi vous expliquer comment jointoyer votre œuvre d'art en mosaïque. Tout d'abord, il faut mélanger le plâtre avec 50 ml d'eau. Attendez ensuite que le mélange prenne la forme d'un yaourt. Le temps d'attente dépend de la température de la pièce ou de l'eau. Lorsque le plâtre a la densité d'un yaourt grec, vous pouvez commencer à l'appliquer sur la surface. Veillez à bien couvrir toute la surface de votre lampe ou de votre bougeoir. Attendez ensuite 3 minutes, puis utilisez une éponge à vaisselle pour nettoyer délicatement la surface. Pour plus de détails, regardez attentivement ma vidéo.     This was much harder than it looked. I highly recommend having the studio do it for you. I lost half my beads and and sad about how uneven it looks. It seemed like the perfect consistency and then went to cement almost immediately.

    Have you used plaster instead of grout on other substrates, like wood of cement? Just wondering if works well?
