They Told Me $1600 To Replace A Battery!

Yes, it’s expensive to replace a car battery apparently, I understand, you gotta make a profit for your business
Hence it’s good to know how to do some of the work yourself to save some money! I’m replacing a car battery on a C43 2018, so hopefully this can help someone out there

Surprised the battery didnt need to be coded to the car. Most premium cars from about 2010 have adaptive charging based on battery levels. When you throw in a new one, it needs the car to know how much charge to provide.
Also, if you were being quoted $1600 then I'm guessing it was for a lithium battery? You can swap them for traditional batteries but again, needs to be coded and theres a massive weight penalty
