    Tim,
One of the reasons your evap coil was so filthy was because you only have 2 screws holding the return air duct onto the case. If you take a look at your video, you can see the screw holes in the case where the missing screws were left out by someone who had removed the unit previously. (Understandably so because they are a real pain to reach and get in.) It is sucking all sorts of dirt in from the connection of the return air duct to the case. This includes outside hot air from around the engine area. A little aluminized duct tape on the flanges of the ducts and the case help out a lot. Probably might have replaced the foam seal around it that you said "wasn't too bad"" as well.
Another thing you could have done is powered up the unit while it was removed and checked the amperage draw of each compressor with a clamp meter to see if they were struggling. You could have also done a temp differential check at the unit to compare the inlet and outlet "delta". As you probably noticed, there are no pressure taps for checking compressor output or to re-service the refrigerant charge. Ronnie Wolfe/Dick Albritton has added them and has found that even units when they were new (yeah, Dick has been doing Alfa AC repairs for a LONG time) some were low on refrigerant pressures. I changed out both of my blower capacitors as a precaution and the pillow block bearing on the condenser blower, and of course oiled them all.
Great video! Thanks for posting it. Like you said, it is not for the 'faint of heart" as it is a LOT of physical labor to get that beast out and back in. A hydraulic lift table helps a little bit.
Ronnie Wolfe has done it so many times that I think he can do it in his sleep. He had mine out, cleaned, serviced, checked, and reinstalled and operating perfectly in less than 6 hours. I am still amazed. He's in Choudrant, LA. Great guy if you ever get a chance to meet him.

To insulate the bottom of the unit, take a piece of duct board from an HVAC supply house (Locke, or Johnstone, etc). Cut to the shape you want. Make sure everything is dry and get some 3M brand super 77 adhesive spray. Spray the duct board piece and the metal…let sit a few seconds to “tack” up and then put the duct board piece in place. I’m a few seconds that adhesive will do the trick!

from my experience in motor coaches and class 8 semi trucks it if they have a fresh or recirc. air intake screen you need to find a filter to replace it with, at the very least keep the screen clean and keep carpets vacuumed, I have found that drivers who have pets regularly especially cats will find the evaporators getting clogged up quicker and getting dander out of them is tough. thing is these things circulate a large amount of air in a relatively small space. and accentually work like a vacuum cleaner.

Lol jk 😜 seems like ppl these days want everything for free instead of working for it. Love the video and keep up the great work. Ps. Didn't hear any shout out for S.W.E. Racing. But all good!!
