I struggle with sexual immorality, lust saying no to my boyfriend. I repent everyday but I will come back and give my testimony when I get delivered. To all the people struggling let’s not give up.

Be strong and avoid things that fantasizes sexual act
Praying for you. You might want to consider going for deliverance and also incorporating fasting . It’s hard to abstain when you are in a relationship so maybe it’s time to consider breaking up with ur partner or maybe you guys could involve ur church leaders and start dating with a purpose for marriage . If your church leaders are involved they can support you to get premarital counselling etc

I have been struggling with mastubation for years, as a Christian, it has been an embarrassing journey. I praise God I came across this message.
God's grace is available unto you but you won't win this battle if you keep doing the same things you have done. You will keep struggling unless you decide to obey God's word ie be a hearer and doer. A few scriptures that can help
1Cor.6.18 - Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.
2Tim.2.22 - Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Stay away from the things that entice you to sin sexually. I am sharing what has helped me .I hope this helps you.

It happened to me living in fornication. Jesus delivered me after living in it for many years. Then after deliverance I maintained clean for three years. Then mustabation attacked and struggled with it for 2 months. I have finally been delivered from both thanks God. I was living a alcoholic for years in my early adult life. Jesus delivered me, I am free from alcohol for years now.
I struggled with masturbation for 13 years..but when I came across this video, it really helped me and walked in deliverance. God had mercy on me and delivered me from that hold of addiction...I'm a free person and free indeed and forever....and I here give God the glory for he did that which man cannot do..I'm a leaving testament.

I just came across this video and tapped to see the comments and I sympathize with everyone and how you’re feeling, I feel compelled to tell you that you are loved by God and that shame and guilt you feel every time is not of God but the devil, the spirit that convicts your heart and tells you to change and not give up is of God, the Bible says (paraphrasing) that some demons cannot be cast by prayer alone but by prayer and fasting, I urge all of you to fast and pray for a set period of time and pray for deliverance in particular, there’s a spirit behind this thing and I tell you from experience it will not leave without prayer and fasting, deliver yourself, you have the power of the holy spirit in you, wage war against any spirit in you that is not of our God. And above all don’t lose hope and faith, keep praying, if you fall rise again, repent and determine to be set free. I believe that God will help you if you help yourself. I'm setting a platform for myself that will make me stop it for life through prayer and fasting. I'm two months old now without masturbating for the first time in years, and God has already given me a testimony within these two months. I look forward to a Life time of commitment with God in prayer and fasting. True my dear. That's a reality. I experienced a lot of suffering and condemnation in my past years of masturbating. That I became loose to any bad habit I came across in my life such as smoking and gambling. This made me loose so many resources in Life for years. A demonic spirit was behind it all that while before I decided that enough is enough. I thank God I didn't loose my life because I almost did when I was wrongly accused of stealing weed simply because my accusers knew I smoked back then. But today I'm free . To God be the Glory

It is the Lord's will that you should not live a sexually immoral life therefore God is willing to help you live in a way that will Glorify him. If you are willing and obedient you will receive the power to live right. If you are obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit you won't gratify the desires of the Flesh.
16So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. 17The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. (Galatians 5 16-17).
Yes the Holy Spirit will help you but He will also use a human being where necessary.

You are in a battle for your soul (we all are) and it has to be won in your mind. Ask God to help you stay focused on right thoughts and don't get distracted. You need to keep your mind on living in a way that pleases God in every way, from your thoughts to your actions. When thoughts come to you that you don't want to entertain, remind yourself of what will keep you focused on pursuing godliness (Philippians 4:8, Psalm 119:11, 2 Timothy 2:22).
If you realize that you are trapped in sin and need to be delivered, knowing what you need to do goes together with prayers for your deliverance, because you must follow God's instructions to you in your situation. You must be willing to see what it feels like to say "No" to a desire of your flesh when you are being tempted, and see how the temptation goes away (James 1:12-15, 1 Corinthians 10:13, 1 Peter 4:1). God's grace will help you to do that (Titus 2:11-14) and He will be with you in all those moments if your focus is on loving and pleasing Him above all and you trust that He will deliver you.
It is important that what you regard as repentance is what God calls repentance in the Bible. You must sincerely regret having sinned against God, and come to the point of hearing and agreeing 100% with Jesus' message saying, "I do not condemn you, now go and don't sin anymore" (John 8:11). Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways is key. That opens the door to receiving his *forgiveness* for your past sins (Romans 3:25), *healing* (Luke 5:31-32), freedom from sin/addictions, and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4-7, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). That is salvation.
You need to approach God the way He expects you to-with the right mindset:
James 1:21-22
21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness [that's repentance],✷ receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith, which implies obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.
✷Repentance means you turn from disobedience to God to obedience to God, then you continue on a path of faithful obedience to God, which is what faith is about-not sinning/deliberately disobeying God (the opposite).
James 4:7-8
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
You have to be in 100% agreement with God about doing his will for the rest of your life and you will become "dead to sin" as the Bible says (1 Peter 2:21-24, Romans 1:1-2): that is how you will be set free from sin (John 8:34-36, Romans 6:4-7, Romans 6:14-18).
It is the truth that will set you free (John 8:31-32, 36).

The Bible tells us that Christ came to set us free from the power of sin. He has broken the hold sin holds over mankind, but you must take active steps to be free from the bondage of Satan.. Eph.5.26 - that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,..
The word of God is the cleansing agent given to us after we have been saved by the blood of Jesus ( justification) so first you must be born again, then you will have to consciously work towards the renewal of your mind which comes by studying God's Word.
I like you used to be bound by these sins for many years.. even as a fellowship leader and prayer warrior.. until I came to a place where I was constantly placed in the atmosphere of the word of God.
Another important step is to be accountable to someone who is older than you Spiritually.. in doing this you are sure you're not fighting alone...
Also confessing whenever you fall to that person will help keep you in check and also bring deliverance to your soul.. the devil hides behinds secrecy, when you confess, you bring things to the light where darkness can not survive.

But there is sin when purity of heart and self-control in one's thoughts and actions are lacking (Matthew 5:8, 1 Corinthians 9:24-27), for instance, in the case of having an addiction or intending to engage in any lawless behavior (remember sin begins in your heart/mind). It's up to you to know if any situation you are involved in is sinful because of such reasons or any other indication you have from God. Make sure you approach God in genuine repentance so you will have the Holy Spirit to lead you to "walk by the Spirit" (Acts 2:38, Galatians 5:16)-with a pure heart and self-control, which is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).

You need to keep your mind on living in a way that pleases God in every way, from your thoughts to your actions. When thoughts come to you that you don't care to entertain, remind yourself of what will keep you focused on pursuing godliness (Philippians 4:8, Psalm 119:11, 2 Timothy 2:22).
If you realize that you are trapped in sin and need to be delivered, knowing what you need to do goes together with prayers for your deliverance, because you must follow God's instructions to you in your situation. You must be willing to see what it feels like to say "No" to a desire of your flesh when you are being tempted, and see how the temptation goes away (James 1:12-15, 1 Corinthians 10:13). God's grace will help you to do that (Titus 2:11-14) and He will be with you in all those moments if your focus is on loving and pleasing Him above all and you trust that He will deliver you.

21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness [that's repentance],✷ receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith, which implies obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.
✷Repentance means you turn from disobedience to God to obedience to God, then you continue on a path of faithful obedience to God, which is what faith is about-not sinning/deliberately disobeying God (the opposite).

7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

That will lead you to transformation by the power of God and freedom from sin, including a conscience that has been purged from "dead works" (Romans 7:5)✷:

how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
✷The "dead works" are works of the flesh: Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21, Colossians 3:5-10, Ephesians 5:3-5, Revelation 21:8, Revelation 22:15. They should cease for a Christian who is following Jesus. The wrong focus will lead to wrong choices of committing those sins that lead to death (1 John 5:16-18).
When you receive the Holy Spirit, then you can live/walk/be led by the Spirit:
Galatians 5:16
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.
A person needs to get saved first of all and take exhortations like these seriously:
Galatians 6:7-8
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
So, obedience to God is the key, starting with genuine repentance.

Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

I like you used to be bound by these sins for many years.. even as a fellowship leader and prayer warrior.. until I came to a place where I was constantly placed in the atmosphere of the word of God.
Another important step is to be accountable to someone who is older than you Spiritually.. in doing this you are sure you're not fighting alone...
Also confessing whenever you fall to that person will help keep you in check and also bring deliverance to your soul.. the devil hides behinds secrecy, when you confess, you bring things to the light where darkness can not survive.

I always thought it was easy to abstain until relationship/love affair came in. Now it's a big issue constantly rebuking a feeling that seems beyond my control. Jesus said" the god of this world is coming but he has nothing on me" John 14:30. Do not keep anything that belongs to Satan if not he will have a grip on you, he will have the right to lay claims. 12 Do not let sin control the way you live Or Do not let sin reign in your body, which is subject to death. do not give in to sinful desires. 13 Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. The washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, that is something you must relate to and understand that it is in the middle of a "before" and "after" in your life. I recommend you focus on understanding repentance like the Bible presents it because it's essential that you answer that call and your thoughts are in agreement with God. That's the square one and the way forward. That's the only way to receive the Holy Spirit so you can have the power of the Holy Spirit to live a new life _led by the Spirit_ (Galatians 5:18). The power for self-control comes from that. It's a fruit of the Spirit (see Galatians 5:22-23).

4: Attend a church where the truth of God's word is preached, be accountable to your pastor.

6: Get an accountability partner, someone who is also burning for God, stay true by living in the light and confessing to your partner when the urge comes or you fell.
7: If you mistakenly fall, don't stay in your vomit, pick up yourself, repent and stay away from things that lured you.
If you follow this simple steps, you should grow in God after a while.

It's good you acknowledged your struggle with sexual immorality, but it would be great that you're free from it.
One of the things you need to be free is to separate yourself from the things that cause you to fall into sexual immorality. In your case, having a girlfriend will be a major stronghold to your freedom. If you want to be free, you need to stop all forms of immoral relationships.

Hi Amarachi, you will have to be intentional about being freed. You must make practical efforts to prevent your flesh from ruling over you again... the word of God is like water that washes clean ephesians 5:26... you should also be accountable to someone to help keep you in check... remember we wrestle not against flesh and blood..

You must decide which direction you want to go and stick to it. You have to submit to God. That is the key for not being double-minded and having the experience you are having. You need to realize that you are not yet 100% in agreement with God about following his ways. A simple realization like that in humility can be immensely helpful and letting you see how much you need a deliverance. Ultimately, you are the one making choices in your life, whether you will give in to a temptation to sin or choose to suffer a moment while you are resisting the temptation (James 1:12-15). You need to start somewhere. The more you train yourself to say 'No' to sin, the stronger you will be and eventually you will be set free from sin (John 8:36). That's something Jesus will do for you.

God has given you natural sexual desires and there is nothing wrong with them, but heart purity and self-control in your thoughts and actions are a must (Matthew 5:8, 1 Corinthians 9:24-27). God calls us to love from a pure heart (see 1 Timothy 1:5, James 4:8, Isaiah 1:16-20). That will eliminate lust that makes you look at another person as a sex object. And that is possible with Jesus, but we need to not only believe it but also agree 100% with him to go in that direction. What God's grace promises to his servants who live for Him is "life and peace" (Romans 8:6), not a losing battle with natural urges and impure thoughts that result in sin certainly.
You can find answers to any questions you have about your sexuality in your own relationship with God. He will surely point out to you anything that is possibly in the way of closeness to Him, whether that's a wrong action or behavior, or a wrong mindset. So, if you focus on building or deepening your relationship with God, then you will be able to seek and receive his precise guidance on anything.

Hi @adabrahnelsondziedzorm, hi there Jesus loves you so much and He wants you to be free. You can be free if you will just obey and do what The Lord says in His word. I want to assure you that Jesus has made every provision to ensure that you can overcome masturbation and pornography. You will have to do more than just hear a sermon, you will have to take intentional steps in order to be and stay free. You need to have a group or someone you are accountable to, someone who is mature spiritually and can help you grow and understand the ways of God.
You have to surrender your life to God, accepting him as your saviour and Lord. Accepting him as the one who can save you from the flesh and it's dead works, also surrendering to him as your Lord which means you are ready to do whatever he says
You will have to read and obey the word of God. Your victory over these things will be hinged on your level of obedience to the word of God.

Please God have mercy on me in Jesus Mighty Name,i hv been fighting with this issue of sexual immorality for years.I thank God that i came across this massage in time ,i was living with guilty of this act and it was even hindering me to pray whenever i think of praying.
It is important that you answer God's call to *repentance* the way the Bible teaches. You must sincerely regret having sinned against God, and come to the point of hearing and agreeing 100% with Jesus' message saying, "I do not condemn you, now go and don't sin anymore" (John 8:11). Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways is key-that's how you show your faith to God (John 3:36, Luke 6:46, Hebrews 3:17-18). That opens the door to receiving his *forgiveness* for your past sins (2 Peter 1:9), *healing* (Luke 5:31-32), *freedom from sin/addictions* (John 8:34-36), and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). That is salvation.
You must submit to God. That is essential:
James 4:7-8
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
That's what the attitude of your heart needs to be when you are going through the process of *repentance* and 👉 committing to be obedient to God for the rest of your life. You must recognize that understanding as part of your seeking Jesus' salvation or a relationship with God.

21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls [that's repentance]. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith, which implies obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.
Hebrews 5:9
And having been made perfect, He [Jesus] became the author of 👉 *eternal salvation to all those who obey Him [...].*
Please stay in the word and obey it (James 1:21-22). The word of God is fuel for your faith. To live as a follower of Jesus you must go out of your way to put the word of God in your heart and keep it there, rejecting all distractions. It's a fight and that's how you need to stand to not fall down. The truth will set you free from all sin (John 8:31-32, 36).

I have struggled with this for years Lord I don't want this to control me anymore Lord I want to walk in purity and be whole and complete for my future marriage. I DECLARE HEALING FROM Sexual immorality and masturbation.
You are in a battle for your soul (we all are) and it has to be won in your mind. Ask God to help you stay focused on right thoughts and don't get distracted. You need to keep your mind on living in a way that pleases God in every way, from your thoughts to your actions. When thoughts come to you that you don't want to entertain, remind yourself of what will keep you focused on pursuing godliness (Philippians 4:8, Psalm 119:11, 2 Timothy 2:22).
If you realize that you are trapped in sin and need to be delivered, knowing what you need to do goes together with prayers for your deliverance, because you must follow God's instructions to you in your situation. You must be willing to see what it feels like to say "No" to a desire of your flesh when you are being tempted, and see how the temptation goes away (James 1:12-15, 1 Corinthians 10:13). God's grace will help you to do that (Titus 2:11-14) and He will be with you in all those moments if your focus is on loving and pleasing Him above all and you trust that He will deliver you.

✷Repentance means you turn from disobedience to God to obedience to God, then you continue on a path of faithful obedience to God, which is what faith is about-not sinning/deliberately disobeying God (the opposite).

You have to be in 100% agreement with God about doing his will for the rest of your life and you will become "dead to sin" as the Bible says (1 Peter 2:21-24, Romans 1:1-2): that is how you will be set free from sin (John 8:34-36, Romans 6:4-7, Romans 6:14-18).

It is the Lord's will that you should not live a sexually immoral life therefore God is willing to help you live in a way that will Glorify him. If you are willing and obedient you will receive the power to live right. If you are obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit you won't gratify the desires of the Flesh.
16 So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. 17 The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. (Galatians 5 16-17)

The Bible tells us that Christ came to set us free from the power of sin. He has broken the hold sin holds over mankind, but you must take active steps to be free from the bondage of Satan.. Eph.5.26 - that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,..
The word of God is the cleansing agent given to us after we have been saved by the blood of Jesus ( justification) so first you must be born again, then you will have to consciously work towards the renewal of your mind which comes by studying God's Word.
I like you used to be bound by these sins for many years.. even as a fellowship leader and prayer warrior.. until I came to a place where I was constantly placed in the atmosphere of the word of God.
Another important step is to be accountable to someone who is older than you Spiritually.. in doing this you are sure you're not fighting alone...
Also confessing whenever you fall to that person will help keep you in check and also bring deliverance to your soul.. the devil hides behinds secrecy, when you confess, you bring things to the light where darkness can not survive.

Approaching God in genuine repentance will lead to you receiving the Holy Spirit to lead you to "walk by the Spirit" (Acts 2:38, Galatians 5:16)-with a pure heart and self-control, which is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Any habit that controls you reveals idolatry in your heart. You have to choose to be done with that and it will be part of your past. That's one thing that will come out of your commitment to be obedient to God for the rest of your life. Please see 1 Peter 4:1-3 and 1 Thessalonians 1:9.
