- Dunmininu Dahunsi was engaged to Akin Thomas when she met Ben Brown. Her decision to end her engagement to Akin and marry Ben was received with some concern by her parents who believed they had raised a Godly daughter who knew God’s will for her life.
Their concern grew when they learned she was willing to take a risk marrying Ben who had recently found out he was a sickle cell anemia carrier, which should make marrying him not an option for her. She was also a carrier.
She tried to convince her parents to take a leap of faith and accept her decision; a battle that seemed impossible to win given the circumstance.
So my brother in Christ Bro Wole Adeyi saw my comment and decided to call me and discuss the ministration. I told him that as a healthcare provider I have cared for sicklers and their pain and suffering is very bad. As a believer I’m learning that an instruction from God might not seem logical but obedience is key in serving God. If God therefore sanctions the marriage of persons with the trait who am I to judge or question God. Medically is a disaster waiting to happen but Godically it’s a blessing because what God cannot do does not exist. Thanks for opening my eyes wider Bro Wole. I await part 2. Blessings 🙏🏽

Found this just a few days ago, and I intend to see the entire series. In my opinion, there will always be conflicting views - even among believers - on this matter. Some have had experiences they wouldn't even wish on their enemies. One thing is certain though: GOD'S NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION. If He's involved, it'll be clear for all to see - sooner or later. In all, I think everyone should be 'fully convinced' before embarking on this journey.
Sis dunmi how i love your stubborn faith . Yes even parents that are saved can at times be difficult .
That you have met a person you love, who is born again & shares your purpose or vision is not reason enough to marry them. I believe it is important to receive confirmation from God concerning a spouse. Faith must be anchored on God's guidance & not on assumptions. Abraham's faith was based on what God had spoken to him. 😊

Lack of full understanding of what The will of God in marriage is, makes many parents to be handling marriage with their human ideology and common life experience they have had. God outstand any difficulty of life regardless of your knowledge about life. God bless us as we all remain rapturable in Christ alone.
Stubbornness and faith are two opposing difference.
Dumininu and her man must hear God about the s.c.d as well. They have heard about the marriage. But this new discovery requires God's wisdom and direction which they must hear clearly as well before getting into marriage.

The is the reality of God supremacy that, when God's hands is upon anything, every law of nature and any other laws of man become suspended in the expense of God's will. So, with God all things are possible to them that believe. Remain rapturable in Christ alone

As I watched, the Holy Spirit revealed and confirmed some points in my own life🔥. I really appreciate God for His love and concern for His children through drama ministry . As the messages also are influnceing us with God's Wisdom we can share even with unbelievers because Sickle Cell and Marriage is common to believers and unbelievers. More of God's Divine Grace to this Ministry and each person connected

Wow. Deep. I love movies about Christianity with disability issues. I never ever see it as most are "Have faith and God will heal you." We need to read Scripture, esp the gospels more deeply. This is why I left charismatic churches. I was sick and I got More Tired of hearing I was lacking in faith or sinful. Ugh. NOT HELPFUL, and mainly...a lie from hell.

Hmm in this day and age ppl should check their blood types to avoid putting their children into pain and trouble. Faith? Good expects us to use wisdom. This should not be happening in the modern age

Hmmmm. The parents should understand that with God, nothing is impossible. Even if God wants to join Dunmi & Ben together there's nothing Dunmi's parents can do. God can heal Ben of his health problems, no matter what.
A lot to be said about the movie... Without faith, it's impossible to please God. What if He allows us to go through trials even when we pray against it? God answers all prayers, but are we ready for the answer? Are we ready to accept a 'wait' or a 'no'? Are we ready to submit to His warnings or try to forge through because of our own feelings? Do we truly have faith or are we being disobedient? Let's ask ourselves if the decision we make is out of love for ourselves or another? In this part 1, the focus was more on the couple than on the unborn child/ren...How much suffering they'd have to go through if in fact they did have the disease? Is this love? What if God gave them the info about their ss status in order to consider adoption? So many questions.
