Great video man! The amount you guys are saving is REALLY impressive. You're gonna be wealthy fo shaw someday. In other news, I want to second the comment I read by Terry. Cape Town rental costs are BRUTAL. Btw, my wife is from Sasolburg! :D I'll be there over Christmas if you wanna high five. Oh, if you aren't already I would highly recommend Afrihost for data on your phone, their prices are incredible. (feel free to let me know if you've found a better deal - I also prepay for my phones upfront then go rogue with my data)

Thanks Gabriele! I really appreciate the comment! I always look at savings as relative to income. Having a savings rate of 30% on an income of R10 000 per month is much more impressive for me than on R 100 000, because of the fixed costs of housing, transport and sometimes food. I was very hesitant to publish this video, as it might attract some criticism, but what is most important to me is transparency in that if I claim to save 30% of my income, then I also need to show how much I earn and spend, as that is the difficult part that very few people want to talk about.
Oh that's really cool! We literally stay just next to the Vaal river, so basically in between Gauteng and the Free State haha. I currently use the FNB Connect SIM where I pay R 96 for 100 minutes and R 109 for 2GB all networks valid for 30 days. And because I am on Level 5 eBucks of the Premier account, I get an additional 30 minutes, 30 SMS's and 2GB data. So basically 130 minutes, 4GB and 30 SMS's for R 205 per month.
I also checked out your website. It is REALLY neat and professional! Well done! I can see the value that you provide and it is great to see your skills come alive in your work. My wife recently started with Digital art and she is really enjoying it. I think it is a very important space to step into seeing how the world is moving towards a digital era.

The entertainment industry is on fire atm, ever since toyota (corolla) showed up it's been going warp speed. More opportunities and more people getting into this stuff than EVER before. It's crazy.

Great sequal to the previous spending video. I'm only 18 so I thankfully haven't thought that much on budgeting because I don't spend much but it's still very insightful and hopefully I can start off on a good note in future years when I actually earn an income. Great video

Hey Patrick. Thanks for the nice comment! It is really awesome to see someone your age showing an interest in your financial future! You are way ahead of everyone else just by actively trying to learn every day. Even if you spend and earn little, tracking your expenses is a really good habit to get into as it will teach you discipline and awareness. And if you can keep your expenses relatively low while you increase your income and save the difference, you will be well on your way to early retirement. 💪

Hey Michelle.
